  1. I ended up cancelling my pre-order for LBP, but I still have a code for the Kratos, Medusa and Minotaur costumes. Free to the first person to PM me.
  2. I wish I could say that I'm dumping the standalone player for bigger issues than my own impatience, but I can't. I hate having to wait the couple of minutes it takes to boot up the damn thing. That's really my #1 issue. The sound is nicer on the standalone, but with my receiver/speaker set up I don't notice enough of a difference to care too much. The picture is just as good on the 360 add-on as the A1 plus I don't have to put up with the occasional HDMI goof. I'm losing the upconverting SD feature, but I can't really look at standard DVD now anyways. Finally, the 360 add-on is cheaper. You are pretty much right on the mark. The 360 add-on isn't as good overall as the A1, but it's good enough for my needs at the moment.
  3. Blame my wife. She says I can only have one HD-DVD player in the house. Now that I have the 360 add-on, the A1 has got to go. I figured I'll offer it to you guys before I eBay it. I bought the player new and have had it for just over three months. It works great except for the occasional stutters and freezes that all users have reported. Firmware 2.0 is loaded on it. All of the original cables, remote, manual, etc. are included (except for the free month of Netflix). I'll even include an unopened HD-DVD of King Kong. It comes in the original box. Feel free to ask any questions. I'm looking for $340 (preferably PayPal) and that includes UPS ground shipping with insurance. If you want it shipped some other way, we can talk. Thanks!
