  1. Today
  2. Finished a replay of the Batmobile game also featuring Batman. Still like it, but goddamn does it drag that story out.
  3. The voyager tie in was very well done, and Quark was even mentioned. As for the Borg stuff
  4. Yesterday
  5. This weeks episode was damned great. Loved Freecloud, good humor and some plot movement. Seven and the Icheb plot was a nice tie-in as well from Voyager. Kind if saw Also...
  6. Great Direct from today: Lots to love here! The game seems loaded with features (and terraforming is going to be a huge change to gameplay).
  7. So I started the big ass House of X/Powers of X HC the other day, and I think it's really a case of "you can't go home again". I know a lot more than I should about X-Men continuity, and even I was getting lost with "how the hell is Xavier even alive now" and "why is he walking around in an evil Reed Richards helmet" and "wait, the island from Giant Size #1 is the new Genosha, and can create portals now"? It's classic Hickman, which is dense, and chapter 3 actually got me back on board with it (the whole Moira McTaggert issue), but so far I don't think this is going to pull me back into being a regular X-Men reader. One of those things where, as soon as you stop reading, getting back in is reasonably impenetrable, and you question why you would in the first place.
  8. Number 9 done. Darksiders Genesis done after 25 or so hours later. I was pretty thorough, too. I have a few odds and ends to complete but overall a fantastic game!
  9. I’m looking forward to playing Ninja Gaiden II on Xbox at long last. I picked up the PS3 version years ago, but as I learned from a recent DF video, it was not exactly the same game, not was it necessarily better.
  10. Last week
  11. I enjoyed the first game and think the second game is a bag of ass. The fans seem to go nuts for that Organization 13 shit but I thought it was melodramatic dumbassery. I will also point out that I am a major weeb and that story was too emo anime for me
  12. It definitely seems like an acquired taste. The tolerance factor seems to be based on just how much of a Disney nerd you are, and how patient you are at putting up with all the convoluted non-Disney soap opera stuff that haphazardly strings it all together.
  13. What’s so strange is that it earned more than A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood which Sony DID deem worthy of a disc. I can only assume the Hanks star power factor was the reason (even though he’s not actually the leading role in the movie) Sony do have a precedent for putting out some titles in Europe but not the US, such as Easy Rider and box office under-performer Girl in the Spider’s Web, so Little Women may still emerge (though for the UK at least it is not on the schedule, nor is a UK disc of Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood for that matter. I’m having to import that one this week). They released a Terminator Salvation disc here too, but that’s not distributed by them in the US so doesn’t really count in this instance.
  14. So basically, if you go in cold-ish, you won't understand everything, but if you play everything else, you still won't understand what's going on. Sounds like a real winner there...maybe I'll just skip it?
  15. Ouch On that FFG replacement policy. Its ok they even spoil there own items before announcements now. Hulk Smash
  16. I preordered Little Women from amazon.de in the remote hopes that it'll pan out or at least relay my interest even if it is cancelled. It does have art, but the text on the bottom -- "vorläufiges cover" -- basically translates to "provisional art", which doesn't inspire a whole lotta optimism. Apparently a similar situation happened with another Sony title, Roman J. Israel, Esq., a while back -- listed for preorder on amazon.de (not sure if it had cover art), was cancelled, but lingered on Amazon for a while afterwards anyway. I'm hoping this isn't an oversight and that Little Women will actually come out, but I'm not holding my breath. 😕 I know I'm writing this from a U.S.-centric point of view, but Little Women is among the very highest grossing movies at the domestic box office to bypass Ultra HD Blu-ray since the format's inception. (The only movies that've grossed more in the United States since March 2016 without a UHD BD release are The Upside -- by just a couple million -- and Bad Moms. And neither of those movies are available in 4K on Vudu or Amazon the way that Little Women is, so there may not have been UHD masters to put on-disc anyway.)
  17. I spent some time deliberating about diving into the entirety of Kingdom Hearts in the months before selling my PS4. It's still something I'd like to do someday as I find the whole concept curiously bizarre. Everything I had read suggested it'd be wise to play through the whole series before approaching III, but that you still shouldn't expect to understand what the hell is going on either way.
  18. Lots of YouTube recap vids for previous games. There's lots of side games that take story in weird directions apparently. Lots of fan service.
  19. 'The Beginning' IS included with Phantom Menace according to Amazon UK and HMV's listings. Amazon actually have running times for each bonus disc: Episode I: The Phantom Menace bonus disc (approx. 181 mins) • "The Beginning" Feature-Length Documentary • George Lucas On The Digital Revolution • And much more… Episode II: Attack of the Clones bonus disc (approx. 196 mins) • "From Puppets To Pixels: Digital Characters In Episode II" Feature-Length Documentary • State Of The Art: The Previsualization Of Episode II Documentary • And much more… Episode III: Revenge of the Sith bonus disc (approx. 327 mins) • "Within A Minute: The Making Of Episode III" Feature-Length Documentary • The Journey Part 1 & 2 • And much more… Episode IV: A New Hope bonus disc (approx. 101 mins) • Aboard The Death Star Overview • Discoveries From Inside: Weapons & The First Lightsaber • And much more… Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back bonus disc (approx. 125 mins) • George Lucas On Editing The Empire Strikes Back 1979 • A Conversation With The Masters (2010) • And much more… Episode VI: Return of the Jedi bonus disc (approx. 163 mins) • Conversations: The Effects • Death Star II Space Battle Overview • And much more… Episode VII: The Force Awakens bonus disc (approx. 149 mins) • Secrets Of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey • Blueprint Of A Battle: The Snow Fight • And much more… Episode VIII: The Last Jedi bonus disc (approx. 165 mins) • The Director and the Jedi • Balance of the Force • And much more… Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker bonus disc (approx. 157 mins) • The Skywalker Legacy • Pasaana Pursuit: Creating The Speeder Chase • And much more… Would have thought Empire of Dreams would be listed if it were included. I much prefer the classic 70s/80s documentaries but Dreams you'd think would be one they'd highlight if it were there, rather than lumping it in amongst the vague "and much more." Since it was a 150 minute documentary it doesn't fit in with the bonus disc running times for Star Wars, Empire or Jedi.
  20. More star wars packaging shots if anyone can summon the energy to care at this point... Euro covers for Force Awakens and Last Jedi (US will be the same save for alternate banners): I prefer the packaging of the Blu-ray box set release compared to the UHD/Blu-ray one. Force Awakens includes the Blu-ray discs from the 3D re-issue (but not the 3D version itself), so you get the audio commentary and additional bonus features. European back cover for Last Jedi re-issue appears to show that the bonus disc has been re-done with added features that had previously only been online exclusive (isolated score now included on the 1080p disc, and several extra featurettes on the bonus disc): I wonder if they will have stripped Dolby Vision from the UHD itself. I'd be surprised as it would actually require effort on Disney's part to re-do the disc, but since all the others will be HDR-10 who knows.... No new extras for Rogue One... The back covers of Clones through to Return of the Jedi all list "making of collection" which I'd hope would mean we get the classic 70s and 80s documentaries from the classic trilogy era on disc at least, along with Empire of Dreams from the DVD set. Weirdly the back cover for Phantom Menace lists no such thing. It would be a shame if The Beginning is not ported over. Naturally Disney are doing a Paramount/Mission Impossible here and not having the art for the final movie match up with all of the others. Star Wars.com doesn't seem to mention who is doing the variant cover. https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-rise-of-skywalker-home-entertainment-announce Special features: I wish I could feel excited about any of these. 🤷‍♂️ The UK isn't getting the individual discs (I suspect they will surface here by the end of the year), but I'd probably end up picking at the prequel/sequel individual UHD discs someday for the extras if they were on offer in a sale, and the regular Blus of the classics for the bonus discs and couple them with burnt discs of the original versions if the discs do indeed include those classic documentaries. Everything is March 31st in the US (and April 20th UK for the box set only and Rise of Skywalker).
  21. I think I missed this completely when it was talked about last year, but I saw this new video on Fall Guys with the developers, and this game looks great!
  22. Pistol Whip is so good. And I am so very terrible at it.
  23. Nice additions-I'll probably check out Kingdom Hearts 3, although I never played 2 or any of the spinoffs, so perhaps it'll make sense? I also noticed that there was a package with the older games on Xbox now, although not included with gamepass.
