  1. Picked up the piano and the NES. Try as I might, too hard to pass up...

  2. The last 2 weekends, the "30 glorious rekkids" turntable warming card has gotten a few more letters crossed off. Last weekend Walt quite surprised me with 3 records for letter C, The Cars: And last night, he showed up with this treasure, the S1 Killing Eve soundtrack!

  3. A more likely path (to my mind, anyway) would be to just combine Gold and Game Pass into a single subscription service. All existing Gold subscriptions would be upgraded to Game Pass (discontinuing 12 and 24 month subscriptions beforehand to limit people stacking years the way they did with the $1 upgrades). If you want Gold, you get Game Pass. If you want Game Pass, you get Gold. And free-to-play games could bypass the subscription requirement. I guess we'll find out at some point!

  4. Played a bit more last night. I did the first batch of tutorials on creating Dreams last night. So far it is only about creating, moving and cloning objects, so I’m not at the point where I could really creat a game, but it seems cool. As someone who can be a little bit OCD about things being lined up and positioned “just so”, it seemed like I could get frustrated, but I’m guessing there may be tools to help with this that I don’t know of yet. The tutorials themselves are fine, but it’s a bit of a slog, and there is so much to learn that it will take some time. On

  6. I couldn’t say no to that design - I’m going to try and clear off a shelf on the bookcase to display it if we have one of appropriate size.

  7. As I have said, it’s great tech. My two units with recoil should be here in October. My son is most excited to play Duck Hunt. For me I’d say it’ll be Virtua Cop. But I’ll be finding all the games. I have a feeling this might be the best $300 I’ve ever spent. I miss light gun games immensely. It'll be great if companies start making some new games.

  8. Got my NES ordered. Very pleased I managed to get one (yes there are probably tons but you never know with these LEGO sets).

  9. Right. As great as it sounds, and as compelling a thought it is given Microsoft's image of having consumer friendly services, when you dig deeper it clashes with just how big of a revenue generator Gold is (and I had really underestimated just how big). Gamesindustry.biz just posted an article on Xbox's revenue falling flat, propped up by the service revenue. Given that they will, at best, be breaking even on next-gen hardware (but most likely selling SeriesX and Lockhart at a loss), it's difficult to imagine them cutting of a multi-billion dollar limb like Gold. https://www.gamesi

  10. So since i basically love DLSS now I find it interesting that since they use Nvidia tech it could be coming to Switch or its successor. Makes total sense and could really bridge some gaps with the system. https://wccftech.com/nintendo-switch-dlss-2-0/

  11. Really? Given that this is a game based on Japanese history, how do you feel about the lack of giant enemy crabs? I've seen some crabs while running around on the beaches, sure. But none of them I would consider to be giant, nor are the particularly threatening. Maybe that's something we'll see more in Act 3? Never mind, don't spoil it for me.
