  1. That shiny new table + bench arrived. Ticket To Ride board for size. Custom made by a local craftsman. Utterly love the finish + look of it, can't wait to get some chairs to go with it.

  2. Yes, plus the additional three from AWE. Think I've covered all the hidden locations just now, so I'll go and try Tommasi or Put on a Record later. I'm 96% on the Countermeasures now too so that's almost out of the way.

  3. Godzilla vs Kong - Two hours I’ll spend again this weekend. Big, wonderfully silly and it pushes the human nonsense as far into the background as possible cause it knows it’s just there to get you to what you came to see. The last 40 minutes are on par with Pacific Rim in terms of modern Kaiju battle porn. This isn’t high art but it’s probably the most evocative of those old Heisei period films. I expect many to dislike it for that. I was as giddy watching it as I was Pacific Rim. Summed up: It’s a whole lotta stupid shit to get these two to fight and it’s glorious when they do.

  4. I didn't pay the KS much attention, how's the game looking? And last pics of table tonight, I promise First official game is King of Tokyo with my son. He was leading 19-3 and I hit him 5 times in one round to knock him out.

  6. Tales of the Neon Sea is currently free. Completely new title to me, hadn't seen/heard of it before.

  7. Perfect example on the controller front - Mortal Shell. I have the Xbox One version and did the free upgrade to the Series X version. I also went out and bought the PS5 version thanks to the feedback on the adaptive triggers. One of the gameplay elements in the game is the characters ability to make themselves "harden" into stone when an enemy attacks. This is tied to a meter. On the PS5, the adaptive left trigger will not allow you to press down to harden giving you a tactile sense of when its not available as opposed to looking at the meter refill. No such thing exists on the Series X versio

  8. This might be a hot take, but I think the ergonomics of the DualSense controller are a big step back from the DualShock 4. Mainly it's the grips, and I think that's partially what's causing your issues. The grips are too tapered at the bottom which affect your grip and the handles themselves are aligned in a more vertical position than most controllers, forcing the need to flex your wrists more to correctly hold the controller. This is exacerbated the closer you hold the controller to your body. The Xbox and PS4 controllers' handles flare outward a bit more, and both

  9. Yes, Maneater caused me some slight pain as well (until i discovered I didn't need to mash it as much as I was). More games should include intensity adjustments for the haptics, as COD does.

  10. Tommasi and Put a Record On are the two remaining main game side missions I have left I think.

  11. The Hartman fight is not necessary for the platinum. It just wraps up the Alan Wake DLC. I’d finish Tommasi first, or hit up the Foundation DLC and come back for both when you’re fully powered up. Foundation is the bigger of the two DLC packs and the better of them as well. You get new powers and you spend a ton of time in the Astral plane.:)

  12. The abilities one should happen naturally if you’re doing all of the side quests. It shouldn’t require any real grinding. Especially if you do the DLC. The DLC areas are definitely high level areas, yes and both Tommasi and Hartman are the two hardest bosses in the game. I find Tommasi to be the harder of the two, frankly. For Hartman, in the first stage of the fight distance is your friend. When he gets close, he saps your health and heals himself. Stay away, use launch (especially if you’ve unlocked the ability to launch three things at once) and gunfire to whittle him down. His

    Games Finished in 2021

I finished a playthrough of Shadowgate and Déjà Vu on NES. I had to use a walk through more than I would care to admit for Shadowgate. There are a lot of puzzles that have clues so subtle you don’t realize their clues, or just puzzles with no real clue at all. Deja Vu wasn’t so bad, but I still needed a walk though for a few things.

  15. Wait…you’re supposed to read that stuff? Seriously though, I didn’t. I watched the little videos and that was about it. Mainly because it’s still fresh in my mind, I thought the Medium handled it really well. I got the gist of what happened from the cutscenes while the collectibles filled in more of the details. Oh, and I don’t care how easy you make the old growth sound, fighting that thing sucks.

    3D Printers

So when I showed the kids thingiverse, and asked if there was anything they wanted to print, I thought my son would want a Master Sword. He's been obsessed with Zelda for a while, and there are some cool models on there that print in a few pieces, so I figured it'd be a large, but fairly straightforward print. Instead, he asked for a Fierce Deity sword. Now there are a couple of models on thingiverse, but none of them are quite right. They either cheat by having the two blades as one piece, or the bottom didn't look right, so we decided to just model our own in SolidWorks. This one is bey
