  1. In the end I enjoyed What If for what it was. Didn't love it, but didn't feel like I had wasted my time either.
  2. By the way, I bought them and love them. So comfortable, good sound and the volume/mute buttons are in just the right place. Highly recommend.
  3. OK folks, my wife and I have binged through two seasons of Orphan Black fairly quickly and after a couple of episodes of S3 we are definitely suffering from burnout. We're going to watch some other shows for a bit. Things have gotten a little untethered. Still good, but just... a lot. I doubt we'll actually drop it, but I figured I would check in with those that have watched it all the way through. What's the verdict? All down hill from here and I should get out while I still can? Great to the end? Thanks, Roy
  4. I really enjoyed this series, so much more than I ever expected. I'm concerned that the years of movies we've watched before may not matter or count. I doubt they would do that, but the fear is suddenly very real. After all, one demi-god's sacred timeline is one other demi-god's prune juice. I think that's how the old saying goes.
  5. My son's breakthrough with gaming was at age 5 with Disney: Rush (not Kinect) which is on GamePass. He struggled with the third-person camera levels at first, but really took to the Lightning McQueen racing levels, then worked his way up to the 'more 3D' levels. Now he's 6 and obsessed with collecting all of the characters in Lego Marvel Superheroes 2. He's already started watching YouTube videos about that game probably more than he actually plays it, something I didn't see him doing so soon. We are definitely moving into that stage where we want to limit screen time and foster other interests in meat space. He has also played some Mario Kart on the DS and Mario Wii with my wife and I. Our 3 year old daughter doesn't care much about games yet. She'll try to play along occasionally, but she's too young to understand what's happening. She will play the occasion simple mobile game, she seems to like the ones where you take care of a baby. As for advice: - If you allow your kids to play any mobile games make sure you require your password for any purchases. Like, make damn sure. You'd hate to spend $100 on a new hat for a Paw Patrol dog or something. If you have an old Android phone just for your kids you can set it up in kids/managed mode. Keeps things locked down a bit. - Finding games about things they are interested in helps. - GamePass is pretty sweet as a parent. Lets kids test out a bunch of games without buyer's remorse.
  6. Nevermind, found the gaming headset thread, that'll likely work. The SteelSeries Arctis 3 is looking promising. Thanks.
  7. Hey Guys, My current, cheap headset is dying, so I'm in the market for a new one. I'm looking for something that will cover my needs for phone, PC and XBone. My current headset is wired, which is good for ease of use, but I would consider wireless/bluetooth as well. I like the over the head design with a mic. I'm likely looking to spend $100-150. Any suggestions? Thanks, Roy
  8. Yeah, we loved this. The first five or ten minutes had the kids cracking up.
  9. The fact that the license plate isn't blurred out bothers me the most I think.
  10. Yup, live in Canada as well. Definitely appreciate the ability to set a PIN on Star-enabled profiles.
  11. Waterloo Math alum here. Shout out! Might have to warn the Tie guard in case you're working up to printing tech that will allow you steal the tie.
  12. Man, I loved the original games and that trailer hooked me. If I had the time to give these I'd be all over it. #nerdboner
  13. My wife and I really enjoyed it. I thought it started and finished particularly strong. There were some stretches through the middle that weren't my favourite, but overall I'm glad I watched it.
  14. It held it together, we really like it. It got a little over the top at times, but it was loads of fun with some strong emotional beats as well.
  15. Hold on... I just recklessly looked up Uwe Boll... They made two MORE Dungeon Siege movies??? In the Name of the King wasn't enough? I can't even.
  16. The first off-the wall example I came up with was the Virtual Boy. Only saw one once. But the scale likely pales in compared to AAA titles these days.
  17. Two episodes into The Flight Attendant and we're really liking it. Hoping it holds up.
  18. That was amazing. I didn't spend much time thinking about who that was going to be... but my brain seemed to have thought that wasn't, how do I put this...allowed. It started as more of a stand-alone story and it's been cool as 'old' characters have shown up, but damn! That was crazy. I really love this show.
  19. This is pretty remarkable. Delisted from the store... would have been hard to believe a couple of weeks ago. I know this is an extreme case, but this is an industry that is slowly teaching its customers that being an early adopter may not be worth it. The forces of wanting to be first / "Playing since day one!" are always going to be strong for many, but knowing you can wait to get something actually ready and usually for less money is going to be a strong consideration for more and more people if these situations keep occurring.
  20. One of the guys in the group might be getting a 3D printer. There is such a rabbit hole you can go down with organizers for your personal play area, box organizers... should be fun trying a few things like that out too.
