Rambo 4?

I was hoping the 4th one would be similar in tone to First Blood rather than an all out action gore fest. After Rocky Balboa I thought Stallone had the ability to pull it off again with a good Rambo story, but this looks pretty generic to me... though this teaser seems to be made for an AICN audience so perhaps there will be more to it than violence.

The violence looks pretty over-the-top, in a good way. My favorites are when he obliterates the guy in the Jeep with the Jeep's cannon and when he blows up that guy with his explosive arrow. Too bad Richard Crenna is dead. It just doesn't seem to be a Rambo movie without him. I doubt I'd go see this in the theater but I would definitely rent it just for the nostalgia.

Here's hoping Stallone's next two movies are "Marion 'Cobra' Cobretti" (aka "Cobra 2") and "Lincoln Hawk" (aka "Over the Top 2").

Not me! I want some 80's Old School VIOLENCE! Now, for Arnuld to come back and make Commando 2!:D

Agreed. It's been far too long since we've seen Arnie lift a phone booth with someone in it, and rip out the seat of a car so he can fit in. Or have a climactic fight with a guy with a huge chainmail-covered beer-gut.

"Let off some steam, Bennet."

Not sure if anyone is interested, but you can listen to all of Brian Tyler's score for Rambo online here: http://music.lionsgate.com/rambo/

I'm by no means Tyler's biggest fan. In fact I struggle to like anything he's done in the past. This however, is a welcome a surprise, not least because of the many loving nods he makes to Jerry Goldsmith's original Rambo themes.
