foogledricks
I created this database because I thought it would be fun for LCVGers to see a true aggregation of what we're excited about. Here's what the chart will look like when ever you look at it: Here's what the page looks like for you personally when you're selecting or updating your Top 5 games: So please, go and add your five games right now and return often to update them: http://lcvg.kfredericks.net/admin/edit.php'>http://lcvg.kfredericks.net/admin/edit.php Then go here to see the latest aggregation of LCVG's most anticipated titles: http://lcvg.kfredericks.net Let me know if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions. Thanks!
JoeyN
Done. PGR4 isnt on the list, otherwise I would have picked it as one of my choices

foogledricks
How do I select my username if it isn't on the list?Yes, there is a way to add usernames and games. The games that are in there are from IGN's release list. The usernames are any user who has more than 100 posts and who has posted at least once since January 1st of this year. It seems that I didn't cast my net wide enough
foogledricks
I just added a shortcut link at the bottom for all users who have ranked games already. Makes for an easy way to find your name and update your games. Also gives everyone an idea of who exactly is being counted in the survey and if you want, you can see that Joey chose "Britney Spears Dance Beat 2" as his #4. Dave C
Great stuff. I would suggest removing limited editions so as not to spread the results for a game with multiple skus.

Carlucci
Awesome work, Keith! One suggestion: Consider consolidating votes for Halo 3, Halo 3 Collector's, and Halo 3 Legendary. I think it makes sense since they are the same game, just different flavors. Carlos.
foogledricks
Indeed, I will try to track down all the games with different editions, consolidate them, and re-point your picks to the new one.
foogledricks
I just consolidated all the "editions" - most notably, Halo 3 is now one game. And it remains on top as the most anticipated.
Carlucci
Ok, now how about a "hover" feature that will display how many votes each game got. Or just a total in parentheses at the end of the bar graph for each item. I love the ability to filter by platform. Carlos.

Perhaps I will put an HREF on the bars with a TITLE attribute indicating the total number of points that title got. 1st choice = 5 points, 2nd choice = 4 points, etc... in case you didn't know how it worked. I'm also considering a drop-down that lets you choose how many games you want listed. Right now the default is 10, but it really could be anything. Or I could give you the choice. I think I'll do that. Keep the suggestions coming you information junkies.

foogledricks
Sorry, was doing a no-no, working on a live page and breaking it while people are trying to use it. Anyway, I added the rollover showing how many points the game has. And the drop-down letting you control how many items are listed.
GreenMonkey
This forum is so pro-360 it's sickening :lol For me it's only Blue Dragon and DMC4 on the 360 list. You people and your halo

Dave C
Yeah, it really exposes us for what we are. Agreed, a bunch of gamers that like great games. For the multiplatform releases, it's hard to say which version I will choose until I see the reviews. Where a game has multiplayer online, for now, I tend to lean towards the 360. Keith, here's more fine tuning if you want to go nuts....perhaps you can add a "platform exclusive" indicator field to the table and/or show combined platform stats for each title. I'm guessing that would require you to concatenate the platfrom from the game title and move it to a separate field.

It's an interesting idea because Madden would have higher rating if you collapsed platforms. I'll think about it.
Carlucci
Keith, if the Game and the Platform are two seperate columns (and it looks like they are), you could do query with a "group by" on the game and not include the platform, and display that as a separate chart on-demand if the user so chooses. But I kind of like having it display different for each platform, as it will give an indication of which platform version the members here are going to buy. Especially with online capabilities expected to become more competitive in the near future. Carlos.

Yes, I like it for that reason as well but from a pure "which game do you like best" perspective, as you suggested, showing a separate graph of most anticipated titles without the platform breakout would be the way to go.
