Dimness
Bored out of my mind and a lover of Wikipedia in general, I decided to travel down memory lane and look up old point-and-click adventures like King's Quest and Leisure Suit Larry. But then there's this one game that's been bugging the hell out of me, and it's because I can't remember the name of the game. You're a detective doing investigative work, and at some point in the game you end up on Mars. That's about all I can remember. And the guy's name was Tex I think. Does anybody remember this game? Mark E
Under A Killing Moon, if it was FMV. Martian Memorandum if it wasn't. Next!
Carlucci
I agree it was Under a Killing Moon. One of only a few PC games I ever played. Carlos.
Dimness
Yep. I believe it was Under A Killing Moon because I remember FMV. Thanks. How did you guys know?
ChrisBardon
Tex gave it away for me-that was the first of the Tex Murphy trilogy if memory serves, and actually a good FMV game. I think I actually have it around here somewhere, along with at least one of the sequels (Overseer I think).
Mark E
Tex gave it away for me-that was the first of the Tex Murphy trilogy if memory serves, The FMV trilogy, yes. However, Tex had previously appeared in two other Access games - Mean Streets (one of the FMV titles was actually a remake of this one) and Martian Memorandum. They were 2D King's Quest style games, although not quite as polished as the Sierra titles. And, yes, the Tex gave it away .
Robot Monkey
However, Tex had previously appeared in two other Access games - Mean Streets ... OMG, Mean Streets! I was trying to remember that game's name for ages! I was going to ask for help in this thread but you beat me to the punch. I checked the screens at Mobygames, and yep, it was Mean Streets I was trying to remember.
