Covak
Anyone else enjoying this show? I accidentally caught a bit of it one day, and since it shows on The Movie Network here in Canada and it stars Gabriel Byrne I thought it was some movie. Thought it looked interesting. Then it ended suddenly a few minutes later and I was confused. Turns out it's some crazy TV show about a psychotherapist and some of his patients that airs a new half-hour episode every dang weeknight, with each day dedicated to a particular patient's session (same 5 people every week). So it's often just someone sitting there talking to their therepist for 25 minutes. And I'm loving every minute of it so far If you haven't been watching, I think the whole thing will be rerun starting April 1st. Give it a shot if you've got HBO. It's pretty sweet to have a new episode to look forward to every day, if you get into it.
Romier S
Ive been avidly watching since it debuted. It can be downright overdramatic and unrealistic but it's getting VERY good with each subsequent episode. Laura and Alex are definitely my favorite two each week. I'm dying to see what happens tonight when he finally comes clean with Laura . What I like about the show is that its just a great arena for some talented actors to just sit there and act. It's not for everyone, but I agree with you Covak - I'm really liking it.
General Zot
Wife and I are pretty addicted to it. It's like the espresso of therapy, instead of weeks and months of banter to get to a breakthrough, these people have major revelations every week in 30 mins. Damn, that Gabriel Byrne is good! The acting is really stellar, I've been particularly impressed with Blair Underwood and the girl playing Sophie. I'd be damn surprised if this series doesn't end (a season or finale) with one of the patients trying to kill the good doctor. These people have PROBLEMS (all of em, including the therapists.) GreenMonkey
My wife is a huge fan of this show. Then again she's got a BA in psych so it makes sense. She ordered HBO just to watch this show as she somehow caught the pre-buzz about it. She says it's based on a popular Israeli show, I guess? I like it but I'm not as avid of a fan as her (she even posts on the messageboards for the show). I do get to see John Adams though since we have HBO for a while. Covak
At one point on my way to work this morning I started thinking about previous Gina sessions and then I thought "Why the heck am I thinking about this all of a sudden? Oh, it's Friday!" I'm gonna miss this show terribly when it's not on
General Zot
I wonder if Therapy attendance goes up after this show airs? Laura sleeping with other patients makes me wonder if I might need a little treatment myself. Gods, she is hot!
Tonner Cyn
How many episodes does the show run? I have not been able to keep up since about week 4, but my wife and I really have enjoyed what we've seen.

Romier S
So 9 weeks for each setting? I wonder if these will have much resolution. I'd imagine they will have some resolution but with enough opening to continue the series into a second season.

Romier S
I personally love this little cameo in Mulholland Drive.
General Zot
I still haven't seen Mulholland Drive, my co-worker was realting how f'd up it is just last week. He's going to bring the DVD to work. Now I have another reason to check it out. I'd like to see a reality show based on David Lynch going through therapy. Wait, no actually that's something I don't ever want to experience.
Romier S
Oy, what a curve ball this week! I was wondering why Laura's episode this week started so Alex heavy. I was shocked when the reveal hit...:eh
Covak
Woah, what the crap is going on? No Monday or Tuesday episodes this week? I was looking forward to seeing what the heck they did with 'em...
Romier S
Makes sense to not have any episodes though. Laura is no longer his patient so they don't have a scheduled Monday appointment (and he'll be dealing with her later in the week) and Alex is dead . It makes sense to pick up with Sophie. GreenMonkey
The wife is a huge fan of In Treatment and kept up on the news. It does sounds like the show getting renewed was borderline -ratings weren't fantastic, so if you like it do your best to support it. It sounds like HBO is watching for DVD sales as well (too bad no BD in sight).
