PoisonJam
Hey, saw this on slickdeals the other day: Magellan Maestro 3100 is clearanced at Target right now. It's marked $104.98, but rings up at $75. It's an older unit, doesn't have bluetooth, text-to-speech, mp3s, or anything fancy, but for a basic GPS unit it seems pretty solid, especially for the price. It does use the NAVTEQ mapping data like Garmin, rather than TeleAtlas, like TomTom and others. Seems like a great deal for someone who just wants in at the ground floor for GPS. I picked mine up last night, and I have been reading reviews before I decide whether or not to open it. Right now I am leaning towards yes. Robot Monkey
I'm very, very happy with my 3rd gen. TomTom One. Features like bluetooth, text-to-speech, and MP3 playback are worthless to me. I'm glad I waited until it was $150 -- it's very much worth it at that price. If the Magellan meets your needs, I bet you'll be very happy at $75.
