Ron
Is it a real product? Or is that the best deadpan joke ever? I can't really tell... and from the searching around I've done, it doesn't seem like the rest of the internet is sure either. They had it on Attack of the Show. How likely is it that they're in on this as some kind of viral campaign? (One internet theory is that this is a viral thing for Ghostbusters 3... which apparently has no script yet, so that seems unlikely to me). My parents are visiting me from Newfoundland (where this stuff is made, assuming it's real) next week, so I may ask them to look for it. But it's probably fake. Right? Or is it real? Confusion. Did I mention I only got two hours of sleep last night and my judgement may be somewhat impaired? Edited October 4, 2008 by Ron
JoeyN
I don't really know. I'll have to look in the new Beverage Media tomorrow at work to see if it is listed or not
dogbert
Gag. I'm sure of it.
iainl
For what it's worth, Dan Ackroyd really does believe in all that stuff.

OzzelsCousinFred
It might be considering the rash of "crystal skulls" popping up in things since Indy 4 got announced. There were crystal skulls in NG2 for ex. So you never know. There is a crystal skull head from sideshow collectibles coming with Indy 4.. SCREWNUT
It's a real product. I have to get me one! Since I love vodka compared to Whiskey, rum and any of the other hard liquors out there! http://www.napacabs.com/Crystal-Head-Vodka-750ml-Dan-Aykroyd-P4375.aspx
Tom
Yeah, I'd take it for real. Dan Ackroyd also got exclusive rights to bring Patron tequila to Canada. I picked up a bottle, it's some good stuff.
Ron
Well, I had my parents ask around at liquor stores in Newfoundland... and nobody they talked to has heard of the stuff.
JoeyN
Guys its real. Just heard from our sales person its finally coming to ny
Jeff W
Any idea what the stuff costs Joey? My father wants one just for the bottle and I've been keeping my eyes open, but most of the liquor stores around here don't carry stuff that costs more than you can scrounge up in a few hours by panhandeling. JoeyN
Don't know the exact price, but they said its not going to be cheap. I should find out soon, will let you know
PoisonJam
Boy, if this WAS planned as a cross-promotion with the Indy movie, they sure screwed up the timing.
Jordan_E
Dang, Dan in a NUT, but I want that bottle!
JoeyN
Nope not planned to be anything with Indy. The vodka has actually been available in every state except NY for a while. They start out with smaller markets, and work there way around the country. Happens alot. Sometimes items are in NY, but not others/then the other way around. It's a crazy industry
Lutter
I'll have to check out Spec's here in Austin and see if they have it. I know I haven't seen it in my local liquor store.
OzzelsCousinFred
Might try to get some just for the bottle myself Akroyd is an interesting fellow, his interest in vinting/brewing is rather fascinating. If you haven't, you should check his vineyard's site out a bit, it's got some interesting tidbits Edited January 30, 2009 by OzzelsCousinFred
Ron
Oh yeah... I got a bottle of this for Christmas... guess I should have mentioned that or posted a picture or something...
Lutter
Found this at the local Spec's liquor store here in Austin, TX last night... uploaded a quick picture to show the size of the bottle. Didn't buy it... quadruple distilled... pfft... I buy Tito's Handmade Vodka, it's distilled 6 times (and $15 for 750ml) Oh and it's priced at $43.86 at Spec's. JoeyN
Tito's is good, but that Distillation stuff they put on the bottle does not mean much. There are a few different Distillation processes. One it runs through once so if they say 6 times, it is 6 times. Then another runs through the same thing twice, so if it says 6, it's really 12. Georgi Vodka is distilled 4 times, and it's rat gut
SCREWNUT
When is it going to be available in Ontario? This is freaking mind-blowing!! It's made in Canada and I have yet to see it available anywhere here....yet Texas gets it! Who's leg to I have to hump to get a bottle of this????
