James T
I heard Burnett blew out elbow signing contract.:lol lol. That reminds me of the Jeffrey Ross joke at Emmit Smith's roast. It went something along the lines of, Troy Aikman couldn't be here today, because he got a concussion opening the invitation. Back on topic...I feel another season of a no playoff chance for me Jays. A couple weeks ago, there were articles in the paper talking about doing "what's right" and either paying Doc his proper fee (he only wanted 10Mill last year) or trading him to a proper contender
JoeyN
If you guys didn't know starting January 1st the MLB TV network launch's on all the big cable networks (unlike the NFL network). In HD to boot. They will be showing 16 of the World Baseball Classic games, with ESPN showing the rest. They also got a nice group of people on there including Harold Reynolds, John Heyman, etc. I know what will be on my TV most of the time during the season

Paul
That is great. The NFL could maybe learn something.
exile
Cox here in town already has MLB on. It's playing a montage of video saying "this channel will start on blahblahblah". No HD yet though
EnemaEms
Cubs sign Milton Bradley (not sure about this one since we now have two crazies in the dugout) Rays sign Pat Burrell (great signing for them) -Dean- Edited January 6, 2009 by EnemaEms
JTello
Cubs sign Milton Bradley (not sure about this one since we now have two crazies in the dugout) :lol At the very least the season should be interesting no matter the year end swoon outcome. Bruce B
Cubs sign Milton Bradley (not sure about this one since we now have two crazies in the dugout) Rays sing Pat Burrell (great signing for them) -Dean- I think that makes it about 6 teams in 9 years. Maybe Piniella can get Bradley on the right meds.
EnemaEms
Fuck, if you want a headcase OF, move Soriano and sign ManRam. Might as well as get the best bat out there. Plus, I'll take Manny's consistency (especially in the Post-Season) over Mr. No-Showiano's. You won't lose or gain anything in the defense department. -Dean-
JTello
:lol Ohhh man, Manny to that mix with be worth the price of admission. That needs to happen!

Scott Van Dyke
Go Brewers.
Eric M
Go Brewers. Now there's a statement I can get behind. :tu It's should be an interesting season. Everyone expects the Brewers to be unable to repeat the success of last year, but with a new manager (who hopefully isn't a fucktard like the last one) and a still relatively young and hungry team anything can happen. Pitching will be the big ?, as it always is.
Eric M
Rickey Henderson and Jim Rice voted into Hall of Fame. Henderson got 511 out of 539 possible votes. I'd like to see the reasons those 28 people left him off their ballots. :insane:
exile
John Smoltz is officially a member of the Red Sox. That's kind of hard for me to say actually... Derek Lowe signed a 4 yr 60 million dollar deal with Atlanta who also picked up a Japanese All Star Pitcher to bolster their pitching.
