Sony's PlayStation+ - It pays for itself. Updates and PSN Sales ...

Recommended Posts

I'm happy to keep that one on PS4.

Nothing has taken my fancy since Last of Us in the 12 Deals offer so far, but there are still eight more to go (that's eight more deals per system, so another twenty-four games across all three platforms). I suspect we'll also get a general sale around late Dec/Early Jan as well unless the 20th Anniversary Sale is it (though they have said more titles will be added to that sale). The winter sale we got last year was excellent.

Calling out your own trolling because it apparently wasn't savage enough for anyone online to give a shit about,... That's a first world problem!

Heads up, everyone, the season pass for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is currently on sale on PSN for $4.49 (normally $29.99). You don't even have to have PS Plus in order to get the deal.

IT HAS FINALLY HAPPENED.     Aw man, I just bought Knack two years ago for $7.99. I knew I should have waited.

In case you doubted the validity of this thread's title...

Sony gave away $1,349.29 in free games in 2014.

With all of the data painstakingly collated, we can finally attempt to answer the initial question: did PlayStation Plus represent value for money in 2014? Well, according to our research, Sony gave away $1,349.29 worth of software in North America this year, and £960.64 in Europe. That’s an average of $112.44/£81.72 per month – a number which makes the service’s $49.99/£39.99 annual asking fee look like a bargain.

That's also not counting the additional discounts players get on software each month.

Moderately tempted by Evil Within, but it's not one I envision as a "keeper' and suspect I will be able to find a physical copy under £20 early next year.

I am an old school RE fan and I enjoyed what I played of Evil Within when Romier had me play it over SharePlay, but my feeling with digital purchases is that unless it is an insanely good deal I really only buy games digitally if I expect to hold onto them long term. Money is too tight these days to maintain a game collection, so physical purchases almost always end up traded after completion, and as much as I want to play Evil Within I know it will be a game I would ultimately want to trade.

If LBP3 shows up at a good price I'd consider that worth having digitally. Other than that it is really the VITA offers I watch as I maintain a 100% digital download library for VITA games. I just need a bigger memory card. :)

Just grabbed Valiant Hearts before the sale ended, since my $15 credit arrived.

Here's this weeks sale:

I'm eying Child of Light as this weeks purchase.

Counterspy and Sleeping Dogs both look to be good deals too, if you haven't played them yet.
