Discord Server for LCVG

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks

I created a private chat for LCVG on the  program Discord. Can be used for just normal chat all the time. Or you can use it for voice chat while playing online games or board games. If you would like an invite just PM me, and I will send you invite link.

This made me finally register for Discord :)

Should work really well for E3 chat especially since Twitch kept messing around with private rooms.  Expecting an interesting E3.

Looks like there are "instant invite links". I could add one of those to the menu I think.

Thats the link i mentioned. There are no others according to the search I just did.

One infuriating thing is the Discord app on Mac does not seem to support split view. That would have been useful for having the chat down one side of my display with an E3 video stream on the other, but I'll have to run E3 streams via the iPad beside me as I did for WWDC.

You can't run discord on Safari?

E3 Conference schedule:

E3 2019 schedule Conference Date (UK) UK time (BST) EU time (CEST) East Coast US time (EDT) West Coast US time (PDT)
Microsoft conference Sunday, June 9 21:00 22:00 16:00 13:00
Bethesda conference Monday, June 10 01:30 02:30 20:30 17:30
PC Gaming Show conference Monday, June 10 18:00 19:00 13:00 10:00
Ubisoft conference Monday, June 10th 21:00 22:00 16:00 13:00
Square Enix conference Tuesday, June 11 02:00 03:00 21:00 18:00
Nintendo conference Tuesday, June 11 17:00 18:00 10:00 09:00

Honestly I am delighted Sony are skipping E3 if only for the fact it no longer means an obscene 2-3AM event for me. All looks reasonable (save for Square), so I should be on for MS, Bethesda, Ubisoft and Nintendo.

Is Nintendo actually doing a conference? Or is their Direct just listed as a conference here?

Just a Direct/treehouse thingy. No Sony or EA doing conferences either. Definitely a 'lull' this year ahead of nextgen.

Ah ok, was wondering since they are on the schedule.

It's not a traditional press conference, you can see the details here.

For those that can’t make it out to Hollywood, we have a whole lot of content for fans to get into. We’re taking you deeper into our games this year with three hours of live stream content on Saturday, June 8, bringing you gameplay and insights from six of our biggest franchises. It all starts at 9:15 a.m. with the Countdown to EA PLAY followed by the franchise live streams.

Here’s the schedule for the live streams (all times PDT):
  • 9:15 am: Countdown to EA PLAY
  • 9:30am: Star Wars™ Jedi: Fallen Order™
    • Hosted by online personalities Greg Miller and Andrea Rene
  • 10:00am: Apex Legends
    • Hosted by commentator Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez
  • 10:30am: Battlefield V
    • Hosted by online personality Julia Hardy and EA’s Adam Freeman
  • 11:00am: EA SPORTS FIFA
    • Hosted by Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez
  • 11:30am: EA SPORTS Madden NFL
    • Hosted by NFL Network’s Adam Rank
  • 12:00pm: The Sims 4
