I have a proper, full-sized Mortal Kombat machine in my living room, but I will be the first in line to get the Arcade1Up version the moment it gets dolleyed off the truck. That lineup of new announce

All setup. No issues other than me not plugging in the power connection inside the cabinet deep enough. I had a minor heart attack thinking the thing was dead but with some minor troubleshooting, all

Got the decals put on today. And the riser is technically backwards. The Arcade 1up emblem on the front is huge and would have been peaking out behind the MK 2 logo. I decided to just turn it around s

All put together. The light up marquee is nice and not overly bright. They finally added a good scanline filter to the games to give them a CRT look/feel, too! Very much appreciated and it’s a pretty nice filter, too. So many of these companies go for a smeared composite CRT filter which I dislike. This is much more akin to an PVM filter.

Their speaker quality has also greatly improved from their earlier cabs. I just wish they gave the option to feed in an external subwoofer. It would make a world of difference and a smaller PC sub would fit right into the cabinet sight unseen.

Jonh D said the KI cabinet was going to have this slant shown here rather than what's in the current product shots. This looks so much better and more authentic.

Thats awesome!

Have they confirmed these are the arcade versions of KI? I saw someone post about them hearing these might be the SNES versions, but no source.

I’d highly doubt they are anything other than the Arcade versions. Code Mystics is working on it and they did the port of KI for the Xbox One.

That comment is likely related to the hardware generally needed for emulating KI, which is a fair point but I think they’ve figured it out. Makes me also wonder about the price.

Not from what I have read online. It's just a decal.

Depends on the cab and price point, some will have plastic coin doors, but they won't be functional.

They also said they are looking at 19"/20"/+ Monitors for some SKUs and there will be one SKU in 2021 with a larger than 17" monitor,

I heard that and I would love 19" monitors. I wonder where they are going with this.

How is the steering wheel on the Outrun cabinets?

Pretty good! It has a nice feel and "stiffness" to it that makes it feel much more expensive than it actually is. The pedals on the other hand are cheap and pretty throwaway. It's my only complaint about the cabinet.

My Dad used to have a 2nd-hand Jukebox; there are assorted legal complications, at least in the U.K., to selling these devices with working coin mechanism. Not insurmountable ones, but it does add to the cost in a way that isn’t worth it over just a fake one.
