Romier S
IGN has some new information including a trailer for the sequel to Bloodrayne. I thought it was a fairly overlooked game that rose above its ATROCIOUS opening levels. (Especially later in the game when you aqcuire the constant slow-motion powers and fight the slinky dirty nurse ). Heres the article: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/449/449241p1.html Coming to the Xbox, PS2 and PC in October of 2004. Heres some excerpts from the article: Due in fall 2004 for PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC, developer Terminal Reality's BloodRayne 2 has created a new storyline based in a modern day city and has hitched everything up from newly refined graphics (using a modified Infernal Engine) to produce realtime shadows and dynamic lighting effects, to the several new kinds of gaming action, including pole combat (which can only be sexy in this game), rail sliding (Legolas be wary), and advanced melee fighting including fatality moves (move over Mortal Kombat?). Not unlike the half-human, half vampire in Marvel's Blade, BloodRayne is a "dhampir," a cross species of vampire and human, which means she retains the powers and trecheries of a vampire, from supernatural strength and speed to the need for sucking blood and dislike of sunlight. The original game took place in 1935, and in it we witnessed Rayne join forces with the Brimstone Society to destroy the Nazi's bid for world dominance. BloodRayne 2 takes place 60 years later. In between them Rayne has dedicated herself to seeking out and killing her father's many offspring, i.e. her siblings who have now formed the Cult of Kagan (Kagan, her father, was part of the Nazi party). This deadly cult pledges to carry on Kagan's legacy to launch a new era of vampire supremacy wherein humans play the role of blood cattle. AnthonyVolpe
Downloaded the 80MB trailer at the official site. Don't know what I want more... the game or her.
dogbert
I thought it was a fairly overlooked game that rose above its ATROCIOUS opening levels. Much my opinion too. Was ready to return it after playing the first level, but once you got out of the swamp levels, it was much improved.

Romier S
Great find Bjoern and holy hell she's smokin! Those screens looks really damn nice! Gave the sequel a serious graphics overhaul from the looks of those other screenies. Even more excited for the sequel now. (Is it wrong to lust after a videogame female? )
adamsappel
Oh, those screens have to be faked. That website is nothing but gobbledegook!

Romier S
Still amazed at what a bump the graphics have gotten in these screenies. Looking excellent so far and Rayne still looks scrumptious. Baby got back.

AnthonyVolpe
I liked Bloodrayne... mainly because I could decapitate and dismember 10 Nazis at the same time (after entering the Insane Gibs Mode code). Can't wait for the sequel.
DataScion
Gotta love a serious graphic overhaul. Especially when there is a sexy female character involved. This definitely looks to be a solid new addition to our library of wanted titles.
kittycatgirl2k
Wow does this game ever look smokin! I'll be purchasing this one for sure. I was a sucker and own two copies of the original: Gamecube and XBox. ha! Rayne and the game both look hot - wonder when its coming out? Romier S
New interview with the product manager over at Terminal Reality. All about BloodRayne 2. Here it is at IGN: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/493/493610p1.html Heres something that will interest a great many folks on the forum: IGN: What's the music like? In what way do the systems support wide screen, progressive scan or Dolby? Please list which one does what. Liz: BloodRayne 2's music will have the same kind of edge and energy as the original did. Terminal Reality handles all audio design in house at their studio. The game will support Dolby Digital for Xbox and PC, and Progressive Scan and Wide Screen modes for Xbox and PlayStation 2 versions.
