kelley
As I said in the chat, this is the first PS+ PS5 game. I feel it in my bones. Whooter
iainl
It's going to have to be. Online team battles need a player base, and the only game in which cars do something that doesn't primarily involve competing to be first to the finish line and yet didn't die on its backside I can think of is Rocket League. So you've basically got to copy their financial strategy, I'd have thought. dogbert
Adam Tyner
Destruction AllStars is being showcased on the PS Blog today. Microtransactions confirmed, which is a drag for a $70 multiplayer title. It’s still nuts to me that the game comes out in 44 days and there still isn’t any meaningful gameplay footage. There’s quite a bit about Sony’s marketing approach that I just don’t really get. But still, it’s the only next-gen title that’s really caught my wife’s eye. Since she’s been addicted to both Forza and Overwatch, and this seems like kinda a mix of both, I might have to get it for her.

To say the least. Even without them it's kind of absurd that they think they can try to get a new IP like this off the ground at that price. What a joke. iainl
I wish them the best, because they’re very talented people who have done great work. But the idea that this will still be a viable product by the time I have a machine to play it just seems so absurd right now.
Romier S
Destruction All-Stars is moving to February and will now be offered as a Playstation Plus title for two months for free: Its the right move, frankly. The PS5 already has a pretty strong first party line-up on day one with Miles, Demons' Souls and Sackboy. This was bound to get lost in the mix and making it a freebie for two months can let it build an audience if it ends up being pretty good. Adam Tyner
I actually pre-ordered this too! PS+ makes so much more sense, so I can't say that I'm disappointed.
