Romier S
Officially announced and releasing next week. Apparently a PS4 exclusive remake which ties into Sony’s push into the tournament gaming scene. Also rumored to be one of the free PS+ games for June. VF is my favorite fighting series and has been for a long time though it’s been ages since I’ve played 5. Romier S
IGN article: https://www.ign.com/articles/virtua-fighter-5-remake-announcement-news Quote Virtua Fighter is getting a brand-new remake, marking a return to the spotlight for the classic fighting game series after a decade-long absence. While it's not quite a shadow drop, it will nevertheless be out very soon. Sega announced today that Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown will be a PlayStation 4 console exclusive. It will include updated graphics built in a brand new engine as well as new online features, with development being led by an "all-star team" from Sega AM2 and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio [RGG]. It is being developed as part of Sega's 60th anniversary project. Angry the Clown
Angry the Clown
Damn shame it's Playstation only (I really don't love the controller for fighters, and would love to see the series span multi-platforms to find the biggest audience possible), but I'm excited nevertheless as the series has always been my favourite 3D fighter. I've always clicked with the pacing of it for some reason. I'll never claim to be good at any fighting game, but VF always seemed to have a remarkable balance to me in the sense of a fighter that's easy to play but difficult to master. I can get by and enjoy myself with basic moves, while accepting that genuinely good players know how to do things I never even knew where possible in the games. I wonder if it will have any performance improvements for PS4 Pro.

Angry the Clown
This seems to play very nicely. I'm curious to know the technical specs though. It doesn't feel like there's PS4 Pro enhancements anywhere here, but maybe I'm wrong. Just looks like 1080p to me. It could certainly do with more AA as the jaggies are quite prominent. Regardless it's a pleasure to be able to play Virtua fighter (badly) again. I noticed there's a 'Legendary Pack' DLC for £7.99/$9.99. It includes: Character Customisation items (all 2000 types) Character costumes (all 19 types) Original Virtua Fighter Character Models (all 38 types) Original Virtua Fighter stages Original Virtua Fighter battle UI Original Virtua Fighter series BGM (all 180 tracks) Spectator stamps (36 types) I'll grab that if it's ever on sale someday. It'd be fun to have some of the old stages and cosmetics (you can't play the original VF stages in online fights apparently).

Romier S
For $10, sure. The old school skins are worth it to me considering the game is on Plus.
Angry the Clown
Weird $10 Tekken 7 crossover DLC has been announced for VF5 that doesn't add Tekken characters, but re-skins the VF characters to resemble them, along with alterations to BGM and menus. I can't say I see the appeal, but it does leave me wondering how great an actual Virtua fighter vs Tekken game could be.
