Carlucci
LOL! Go for it! All of a sudden, I'm getting a pucker factor of 8.6 that this doesn't bode well for Halo 2.
dogbert
All of a sudden, I'm getting a pucker factor of 8.6 that this doesn't bode well for Halo 2. I think it's utterly irrelevant to the development of Halo 2.
Romier S
A bit a shock to be sure. I'm actually kind of saddened by the announcement as I thought Fries was always a great speaker and very enthusiastic about his job and the future of the Xbox console in general. Seems odd to depart so suddenly but these things do happen quite often. Curious if they'll keep Shane Kim in the position or perhaps move a bigger name into the slot. Possibly Ken Lobb? Hes is curently the director of content on the Xbox so it could be a possibility but with anything like this everything is up in the air. Whats Peter Moore doing these days? (its a rhetorical question folks, I know what he's doing but I always loved the guy when he was at Sega)

kelley
How about a tag team of Ken and Peter!
Mark E
Okay, but a little paranoia never hurt anyone. Not to mention that the last time we mentioned Halo 2 in a thread we sent post counts through the roof .

adamsappel
Well, I'm glad they posted the email in its "entirity." Considering they used the word "entire" in the same sentence, I have to wonder who's editing that site. I know I'm a bit of a grammar nazi, but wtf? foogledricks
Ed was fired for facilitating the purchase of Rare. He is currently being courted by Sony to head up PSlive for the PS3. I have an uncle whose secretary's cousin works for Microsoft.

JohnE
Yeah, I'm sorry to see him go. He seems like a well respected guy who was passionate about what he does. I think he a big part of the reason I've been so impressed with MS first console outing. I hope they find someone equally passionate to replace him.
