exile
I'm going to rent Lost in Translation and I might buy Raw Deal and maybe My Science Project(guilty pleasure).
Jordan_E
Going to rent Lost in Translation also, but otherwise it appears to be a slow week, although seeing Charles Bronson wiped out some street scum in Death Wish 2 is tempting! Dan B.
I'm gonna rent Lost in Translation & Vanishing Point. No purchases for me.
rustyjaw
I didn't see Lost in Translation in theaters, I'm tempted to just buy it due to word of mouth. Would those of you who've seen it recommend that? I've done the same thing a few times, buying movies I never saw, and for the most part i've lucked out. I did this with Amelie and was very pleasantly surprised at how great it was...it's kind of fun to take a chance.
The Daisy
Looks like Lost in Translation to me. Glen
kelley
Ed, I'd buy Lost in Translation ASAP! Especially if you liked Rushmore and Virgin Suicides.
Romier S
Would those of you who've seen it recommend that? My god yes. Without a doubt one of the best movies of the years. I agree with Kelley, if you enjoyed Virgin Suicides or Rushmore than Lost in Translation is an easy purchase. As for me this week: Lost in Translation Gilligans Island Season 1 (My wife is a HUGE Gilligans Island fan and she has been dying for this release)
Orpheus
Lost in Translation is an absolute must buy for me. Fortunately that's it for this week.
Hank Scorpio
Lost in Translation for me too. I didn't see it in theaters and am looking forward to it. I'd also like to watc American Splendor, which is supposed to be good.
Andy Sheets
I'm still making up my mind whether to get Lost in Translation. I liked the movie but I'm not sure if I liked it in the way that I need to justify a dvd purchase right away, if that makes any sense. But that's the only movie on that list that I would consider buying this week.
HellToupee
I'm on the fence this week right now. Damn Best Buy is taunting me with Ed Wood appearing in their circular this week :x , is April the correct release date?. Haven't seen either Lost in Translation or American Splender but might pick one of them up , dont know right now. Planet Of the Apes 35th Anniv.SE is a want for me but I'm not thrilled by the pricing. That leaves Gillgan , maybe Costco of BJ's will come through with a nice price to tempt me. Calvin
Nothing really on the list that can't wait. Though for some crazy reason I just might get Down Periscope... Lost In Translation is a rental - don't know a whole lot about it.
db
Diary of a Country Priest. It's about time we have more Robert Bresson on DVD.
Whooter
Interestingly enough, "Lost in Translation" is still playing at one of the AMC's here... If it wasn't for the ice storm we're currently having, I'd go see it today as a Super Bowl warmup. Maybe next week I'll see it on the big screen and then pick up the DVD... MrJames
Probably Lost in Translation. Haven't seen it but heard good things about it.
Romier S
I'd also like to watc American Splendor Completely forgot this one was on the list! Definite buy as well.

Hank Scorpio
Damn Best Buy is taunting me with Ed Wood appearing in their circular this week Here's the deal on that... Disney shipped a bunch of Ed Wood's that some stores already have and are selling. But, supposedly the discs that shipped are defective. That's why the release date got pushed back. However, in talking with my distributor he told me that people in his area had bought the DVD and had no problems with it at all. If I see a copy of Ed Wood at Best Buy I'll pick it up for sure. It still tastes like creamed corn." "It's deviled ham!" "Oh, well that would be a problem then..." :lmfao:
Angry the Clown
Whilst not all immediate purchases, of tomorrows releases the following are set to belong in my collection soon enough: American Splendor Diary of Anne Frank Diary of a Country Priest: Criterion Edition Lost in Tranlastion Mutiny on the Bounty Planet of the Apes: Special Edition Rain Man Daniel
Chris
Don't tell me Red Dwarf seasons 3 & 4 disappeared from this week's releases. The last couple Tuesday purchases I anticipated ended up not appearing on shelves. What happened to Time Bandits?
rustyjaw
American Splendor Oh, I'm really looking forward to this too...I missed this one in theaters...maybe I'll be buying two sight-unseen DVDs this week.
Hank Scorpio
What happened to Time Bandits? It should be out, the copy I ordered showed up right on time.
