Romier S
Recent report on gameindustrybiz. A small push mind you but after years of dominance it looks like ATI is making its move forward. I'm really hoping Nvidia release something special with the NV40. This particular market strives on competition and with prices already exhorbant for the latest and greatest I'd hate to see these climb even more with one of the major players seemingly asleep: http://gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?...me=dev&aid=2896 The latest figures from the graphics chipset market show ATI moving slightly ahead of NVIDIA in the last quarter of 2003, with the company gaining significant ground in the standalone graphics chip arena. The figures, from market research firm Mercury Research, show ATI with 24.9 per cent of the overall graphics hardware business, while NVIDIA was just 0.2 per cent behind on 24.7 per cent. foogledricks
I remember feeling grateful that Nvidia overtook 3dfx, as David pummeled goliath. Weird now that I feel the same about ATI pounding Nvidia. It is all in the name of healthy competition.
