Josh
That is, finally pick up a Box like the loser that I am. The conditions, of course, are whether or not I have the time and extra cash, both of which I think will have this weekend. It could all go awry, though, as the girlfriend will be out of town and I could be lying on the corner of Delancy and Norfolk in a drunken stupor. Hemmingway, I will of course pick up a Live kit with it - they're $50, right? But what games? I mean, I'm not a huge fan of Halo. I've played it a ton at friends' places and I think I'll just wait for Halo 2. KOTOR looks great. Any cheapies I shouldn't miss? I want Live games, though, because that's the main reason I'll be picking it up. Which ones are still good - which ones are you losers still playing? Any other tips, must-haves, etc.? What's the better AV kit for 5.1? I don't have HD, so I don't really care about that, but component might be nice.
iainl
Well, I'm definitely not feeling the need yet to get a second full Live game to go with Midtown Madness 3, so that might not be a bad start. Elsewhere, I really like Amped and PGR, both of which should be pretty cheap.
Chris F
As far as Live enabled games: Midtown Madness 3 - Mediocre single player, but FANTASTIC multiplayer on Live. Tetris World - Which you'll no doubt get with your Live kit. Return to Castle Wolfenstein - I haven't touched the single player, although I hear it's good. I play purely mulitiplyer with it on Live currently. MotoGP 2 - My favorite racing game. The customizability of the bikes is awesome. It's like the Gran Turismo of crotch rocket games IMO. A few others Live titles I like would be: Ghost Recon Any of the 2K3 Sega Sports games, although you cold hold off until the ESPN line-up comes out. Unreal Championship Mech Assault - The new downloadable stuff for it is GREAT. As far as non Live enabled games: KOTOR - The reviews from us alone should warrant a purchase. Buffy - It's cheap, but one of the most fun games I've ever played. Spinlter Cell - Duh. Halo - I know you said you'll wait for Halo 2, but it's worth it to beat it, and then have it around for some awesome multiplayer. NBA Street Volume 2 - Great fun with friends. Panzer Dragoon Orta - Ask Romier about this one. Kung FU Chaos - Got panned by reviews, but when I have friends over, we play it non stop. It's damn fun beating on friends. adamsappel
I'd say wait for Ghost Recon:Island Thunder. Cheaper, with the best maps from GR + more. Deathrow, Gunvalkyrie, and Enclave are all cheap-but-good non-Live games. Get the MS advanced AV kit, not the Monster.

Calvin
I'd second Outlaw Volleyball KOTOR is a must buy as well. Some of us will be getting the new GR Island Thunder. Plus there is still Wolfenstein to be played. Just make sure your Live kit has Tetris Worlds on it!
AnthonyVolpe
Must-owns: Ghost Recon (my favorite XBox live title - online games changed forever when this came out - voice chatting with team members in situations like this is indispensible)Halo (sorry, folks, I call the shots as I see them - regardless of Halo 2, this game is worth owning for the story alone) MechAssault (as long as your opponents are losers like us, it's fun - the majority of the people who play this online eat, sleep, and breathe this game ? and will therefore eat you alive and shit the bones the minute you sign on) Panzer Dragoon Orta - if you're not impressed by this game, something is wrong with you Return to castle Wolfenstein - no-brainer Splinter Cell - another no-brainer Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 - you have no idea how fun this game is Honorable Mention Must-owns: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (cheap too)Colin McRae Rally 3 (only for the hardcore, strictly for the headstrong) Dead or Alive 3 (no offense, but screw Kung Fu Chaos - at least in this game you can see your character - plus it still looks incredible) Midtown Madness 3 - fun as hell Moto GP 2 - the Gran Turismo of crotch rockets, I agree 100% NBA 2K3, NFL 2K3, and NHL 2K3 - all together now, 1, 2, 3... "FUCK EA" Rallisport Challenge - another fun party game, believe it or not Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - best thing to happen to the Star Wars franchise since Return of the Jedi P.S. Your avatar fucking rocks.
