Romier S
American: Japanese: Onimusha is really a lower key series in the Capcom lineup. I know its has its fans (me being one of them) but it never seems to get as much attention as other Capcom releases. I really enjoyed the second, even with the strange gift giving mechanic seemingly lobbed in there and I'm really looking forward to part 3 and the return of Samanoske (with Jean Reno to boot!). I prefer the US version by the way.
Romier S
Well me being the only one here that plans on buying onimusha 3 :green: I came upon this while surfing and I got a kick out of it. An attentive gamer took this screenie on his computer: Onimusha 3 delayed 35 years! Take note of the availability!
JoeyN
LOL actually i plan to pick this up also once i finish the stack of stuff i had. The first Onimusha came out the day i bought my first Ps2 and as you know i rarely finish games, but I did finish the first Onimusha. Enjoyed it a lot, and looking forward to this one capt
Jordan_E
I am looking forward to this game. Going to be a little weird playing as Jean Reno!
Romier S
You'll excuse my language for a moment... HOLY FUCK IN A HANDBASKET! Onimusha 3 has the absolute BEST CG intro movie I have ever laid my eyes upon. It puts even Resident Evil Outbreak to complete shame. . Impressions soon.... JoeyN
Ill be picking it up on Friday. I plan for this weekend to be all gaming as i have stacks of games from all 3 systems to play capt
Chris
I'm playing through 2 right now. Let's just say that I'm really glad they ditched the resident evil style control system for the third game.
EnemaEms
Edited the thread title since the game is now released. -Dean-
tiac
I played a little bit of it today at work, and I'm not impressed. (IMO) the 2 actors were the base of the game. The story seems just thrown together. Not all that fun. Then again, I didn't care for the other 2 either.
Romier S
Can't agree Tiac but I have an affinity for the Onimusha games so consider me biased in that regard. I want to throw some impressions up for Oni 3 but first I'm uploading the opening intro for you guys. Its only the first part of it, with the second half containing story spoilers which I'll leave out. The video will be up in about 10 minutes... Here you go guys. The opening movie for Onimusha 3. Romier S
Trust me its the beginning :tu: (IMO) the 2 actors were the base of the game. Not sure what you mean by this Tiac, could you clarify that a bit?

tiac
to me it seemed like the makers said "we have 2 hot actors, lets make a game with them" . I haven't gotten far into the game, but seriously what the hell does Jean Reno have to do with ancient Japan? It makes no sense to mix the 2. Chris
 Holy crap! That may be the incentive I need to battle past these ridiculously difficult bosses and finish Onimusha 2. Where did Samanosuke learn all that ninja stuff? :tu: I don't remember him running along walls in the first one.
adamsappel
Jean Reno has nothing to do with ancient Japan, initially. It's a time-travelling ninja game. That little intro is far more interesting than the entire Final Fantasy film. I wonder why game companies don't offer DVD movies of cut-scenes and "perfect" gameplay, sort of a definitive walk-through.
FLYING SE7EN
Holy crap! That was awesome. Does anyone know how much the plot of the 3rd game has to do with the first two?? I haven't played either, but this one is looking really good. I might pick this game up (as if I had any time to play it  ) I've got another week coming up where the wife and kids will be off visiting relatives that might give me enough time to catch up. Yeah right. I'd probably need two weeks off from work as well to finish all the games on my list. J.
Jordan_E
Rented this game yesterday and played until well past midnight. What a BEAUTIFUL opening! I usually skip those things, but it just looked too great! I like the game so far. More later.
JoeyN
I picked this up today. Gonna give it a spin later on capt
Jordan_E
A little more into it, and I'm getting pretty tired of the switching back and forth. Reminds me a little too much of the beginning of RE: Zero.
matt
I tried to rent this on Friday, but the Hollywood Video by me didn?t have in stock yet. I?ll be trying again this week though as I really enjoyed the first two games.
Jordan_E
I rented it at the local Ballbuster Friday, the secret to my local place is to ask, because half the time they have it behind the counter and don't put it out because they're "too busy." Uh-huh.
Whooter
O3 arrived from GameFly last night. Dunno when I'll actually get to play it, considering my current "every waking moment on City of Heroes" condition...
