matt
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! :x :x :x Now that that?s out? You all might remember that I won the Glitch in the system contest a little while back. Had to run my ass all over town to find the game, but did and it was worth it. Until tonight. I finally throw Glitch in the Xbox and it turns out to be literal nightmare. The game froze up on me 5 times. That?s right, 5(I?m stubborn). So what gives? Has anyone else had this problem? It?s happened at different points in the game, but I only got to the second level before I said f@#* it. Could this be my Xbox going bad? Or just a bad disk? My Xbox is just a little over a year old. I was so much looking forward to starting this game. I needed some mindless destruction tonight. Oh well. What should I do???????? :bang: p.s. I can?t seem to find my receipt either
JFo
I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the game. I can't say that my copy has ever locked up on me. In fact, yours is the only one I've heard of that has had problems. If the game was that buggy and locked up all the time, I'd suspect that we would have heard about it around the Net. (You certainly presume that you would have heard about it from me.) My advice? Do you know anyone else with an Xbox? If so, give the game a spin on their console and see if you have the same problems. If you do, you know it's a bad disc. If it doesn't freeze up, then you might have some problems with your Xbox. Romier S
Matt I edited your topic header to be less misleading (some folks try to avoid the sub-title ). That way you can get the help need with the game as soon as possible and without folks thinking your making commentary on the game itself. Thanks. -Romier
matt
Good idea J.Fo, I was thinking of doing that. I've got a couple of friends with Xboxes. I might have to buy the game again, return the bad disk, and simply wind up with two copies. One of my friends might be getting an early birthday gift Or better yet I'll just make it a St. Patty's day gift. No problem Romier, your title gets the point across just as well :tu: I just wanted to play the game tonight. Ya know when you get your heart set on something and you now it's a sure thing? Kinda like women......... :wtf:

ant1
You can try these 2 possible solutions before anything else; Load up 3 different games to clear the xbox cache. Delete your save game. Good luck.
matt
Thanks for the tips ant1, I didn?t know about the 3 game cache clearing technique. I thought about deleting the game save, but it kept freezing before I got to the save point. Although, it did save the profile?. I?ll try both when I get home from work and let you guys if it makes a difference. It was just strange to me that I could get a little further each time before it froze. :wtf: I?ve had other game freeze up in the past, but never consistently. ant1
Matt you want to delete your entire save through the xbox dashboard, not in game.Go into memory and find the saves for the game and delete them.
matt
Yeah, I realized that after reading your first post.... For some reason that didn't click last night. Thanks for the help
matt
Alright, I tried everything the ant1 suggested, and the game worked for a while longer than it had on the previous attempts, but it still froze up. And I noticed this time that there was a bit of a video bug as well. A horizontal blurriness would appear about 1/3 of the way down the screen when panning up and down. :wtf: So now I either try another Xbox, or buy the game again. JFo
A horizontal blurriness would appear about 1/3 of the way down the screen when panning up and down. That is something that you will notice on the Xbox version. It's called refresh tearing and will appear on every copy of the Xbox version you play. It bothered me at first, but now I really don't even notice it. Have you tried taking the game to a friends house that has an xbox and see if it works there? matt
Good to know the "refresh tearing" is normal. About taking the game to a friends house; of my two friends that own an Xbox, one lives in another town, and the other just moved out from Florida and his is still in storage. Needless to say I'm to inpatient to wait, so I bought the game again last night. Same F-ing problem :bang: So unless I was lucky enough to get two bad disks there must be an issue with my Xbox. At least my system is covered by extended warranty. Now I'll just have to live without it for a while. I might post a question or two in the Tech forum regarding this. Thanks for all the help everyone :tu:
