I'd love to pick up FFXI but unfortunately I just don't see myself having that much time to play it.

Glen, the way I justify it is this: I imagine that FFXI costs $50, and the HDD costs another $50. It seems much more reasonable that way. Although I also balk at paying a monthly fee for anything.

I most likely won't be able to resist FFXI. Anyone else plan on getting in on this 'un?

I'm not bothering with the PS2 release Josh but if you're picking up the PS2 version I'd be glad to reinstall and re-up my FFXI PC account for a while. Shouldn't be too difficult to get you akey to start on the same server and what not...

I'm considering FFXI mainly for the HDD. If they allow games saves on the HDD then it will be a big plus for me. If they fear it will kill their memory card market then I may hold off until some worthwhile content that would take advantage of it comes out. With a monthly fee for FFXI, I have very little interest in it.
