The Daisy
Voodoo Extreme linky Thank goodness. On the original controller, I found them nearly unusable. They're a bit better on the Controller-s, but I would think that dual triggers would be better. Glen
rustyjaw
I'd definitely like to see two buttons on the front L/R, maybe above the triggers. This would make PS2 ports easier. And games like SSX3 which were widely reported to be best on the PS2 because of the controls could be moved over more faithfully.
reeldeal
on the s-type the buttons seemed to be in a funny place in that your hand would cover them but because of that they had to make them too small to be usable. I woulda moved them to the top left of the ab,x,y and made them actual buttons not indented hidden pieces of plastic.
adamsappel
One of the reasons I like the Pelican Eclipse wireless controller is that the B&W buttons are above the triggers. Very useful, for those infrequent times they are actually utilized. What's with "Xenon" as the name of Xbox 2? I hope that's just an internal moniker (like the Segway was called "Ginger"), or completely false.

I'm sure it's just a working title, just like how the GameCube was called "Dolphin" while in production.
iainl
Actually, I find the black and white buttons just fine on the large pad; its only the fact that they moved them for the S that causes the problems, as I see it. Personally, I welcome the six face button return; makes playing Capcom games a lot easier than the use of triggers you have elsewhere. bickle
If it's true, it's completely asinine. If they are perceived as "hard to use", just move 'em to an easier to use location. Duh! It sounds like pointy-haired boss logic. -Dave
Camp
I want as many buttons as possible. I'd prefer 6 buttons on the main face if at all possible. I don't mind the black & white buttons at all. They're typically used for ancillary anyway.
iainl
If it really does get called that, I'm waiting for the third XBox version. Which I can then call Xenon 2: Megablast, and it will rule.
Carlucci
While in the lobby playing RS3, I was hearing a guy describe his new Xbox controller he was trying out. He was just going into the details, and it appeared he was describing that this controller as having two buttons on the grip. Imagine you are holding the xbox controller. Two of your fingers, presumably your index fingers, are on the triggers, but the other fingers are holding the "handles". It seemed as if he was describing two buttons there, that could be clicked by those fingers holding the handles. Just then, someone started the game, and I never got to hear any more of a description of this controller. I am very interested if these were the black and white buttons. Does anyone know if this is the case, and where I might see a pic/review of this controller? Carlos.
Orpheus
My guess is that it is this controller. Looked at this once, but i hated the feel of the triggers and analog sticks. Also, the placement of the buttons on the inside of the handles was an interesting idea, but didn't seem like it would work well for me. Oh yea, I felt like I could twist the controller in 2 in a particularily stressful game and I doubt it could have survived a high velocity cotroller/wall meeting. notfromhere
Ah, good ol' Xenon. I played a lot of that pinball game, back in the early 80s. I still remember its suggestive sound bites (wow, a talking pinball game): "Enter...Xenon" "Nice tube shot" and the various feminine "ah" sounds (along with the jarring masculine "ah") produced by the bumpers... Good times, good times. It'd be great if the new Dashboard started up with a sexy "Enter...Xenon".

Also, the placement of the buttons on the inside of the handles was an interesting idea, but didn't seem like it would work well for me. That's the one he was talking about for sure. I haven't actually used one in a game, but it seems like an interesting idea that could use a few tweaks, and better construction. As stated, it has quite a cheap build, and one of my customers broke one of the triggers quite easily as it doesn't get pressed into the controller casing like the XBox pads, it just has a piece of plastic inside to stop it. The controller would also only really be useful for games that use both analog sticks primarily. FPS and possibly racing games would be about it (maybe Grabbed by the Ghoulies). HL2CROSSFIREMOD
I wouldn't mind seeing a black/white buttin in the middle of the ABXY buttons (in the center) or a black/white neart he triggers.
JoeyN
Black near the left Trigger and white near the right would be good. So in games like GR you can press the talk button without taking your hand off the fire trigger capt
