Failsafe
I'm getting very tempted to purchase Ninja Gaiden! It looks and sounds incredible I read in a review that the three classic games are a little difficult to unlock. Is this true? Also, how the hell does one pronounce 'Gaiden'? I remember in The Wizard (love that movie!) it sounded like guy-DEN. I've also heard it pronounced GAY-den.
kittycatgirl2k
I used to pronounce it GAY-den but its actually guy-DEN. I don't remember where I heard this to be corrected, maybe it was an interview with one of the staff members or something? Anyway, I still slip up and say Gayden sometimes (I mean, I've been calling it that for what? a zillion years now?) Oh yah, and I will definitely be buying this one. heh. danger9777
Just bringing this over from the other thread. KBToys.com has the PS2 and GC versions of SSX 3 for $25. I keep going back and forth on whether I want this game or not. Normally, I'm not one for snowboarding games but I've heard nothing but great things about this one. EnemaEms
Finally picked up a Gameboy Advance SP (Platinum) yesterday with that great Target price. Oh, and I bought Yoshi's Island with it as well. -Dean-

rustyjaw
Ok, just for Freak Tornado...Colin McRae Rally 4 (Xbox) - $19.99 Aw shucks, how'd you guess? I'm really psyched for this game, I only hope I can find time to play it!!

Normally, I'm not one for snowboarding games but I've heard nothing but great things about this one. Did you play SSX Tricky? It's along the same lines, only bigger and better. It's not a demanding game to play, as it's quite arcade-ish.
danger9777
Nope....I haven't played any of the SSX games. Again, normally I don't find snowboarding all that interesting, but I've had this game recommended to me several times. Just wondering what all the fuss is about. rustyjaw
Well, SSX3 is a really polished game. It's also very unrealistic, the trick system is very refined and outlandish, you can easily do 10 tricks in one very high jump. It's a perfect contrast to Amped or Amped 2 which require a great deal of dexterity and controller skills to play. In Amped it's challenging to combo 2 or 3 tricks, whereas in SSX3 the challenge is to combo 40 or more tricks without wiping out (and thereby losing your entire combo). The courses and slopes in SSX3 are also very stylized and unrealistic, but it's all geared toward gaming joy. I really enjoy the game, but if you don't like arcade style games...or prefer more realism it's not for you.
Crippler
If your lucky, you might be able to find a Blockbuster that has Ape Escape 2, because they are selling them for $13.
The Daisy
I've been keeping my eyes open for Ape Escape 2 for a while now. I really enjoyed the first one on the PSX. Plus, my wife enjoys watching me play games like that. Glen
