Cool thread!

I just saw this on the USA network:

On Monday at 8:00 Eastern, during their showing of Final Destination, they will include the 1st 10 minutes of Dawn of the Dead, Uncut and Uncensored.

Is there a new Kill Bill v2 trailer?

Carlos.

Mmm, the Hellboy trailer makes me all warm and fuzzy for the movie to come out. I have high hopes for this one; hopefully it lives up to them at least partway. That Punisher trailer is surprisingly choice too. I had no real hope for the flick, but now I'm at least interested in seeing it. Strangely, the fact that it's a Marvel movie makes me want to see it too.

I'm really looking forward to I, Robot, with Will Smith and Bridget Moynahan, directed by Alex Proyas (who did Dark City and The Crow)

There's a trailer, but its really more of a play on the movie itself, in the form of an advertisement for the robotic assistant at the center of the story:

There's also a kind of featurette (done in flash) that talks about the plot set-up.

Really, must check it out.

No, the same one as before.

Funny, I feel the same way. At this point, I almost feel that Marvel can't loose. Even though Daredevil wasn't great.

I've heard of it but don't know much about it.

No Harry Potter? Blasphemy.

I'm sorry I didn't include it. :) Not much of a fan of the Potter series.

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

Saw this trailer. Looks interesting.

The new Scooby Doo live action film should be out in the next week or two. Not high drama, but a great movie to take the kids to see.

Well, I've never read the book - which I probably should before I see the movie - but it certainly "looked" good in the trailer. Of course, I have no sound on my PC here at work, so I can't comment on any dialogue or anything.

I love Alex Proyas though, as I seriously enjoyed both The Crow and Dark City. This looks very different from those style of films though.

I'll definitely see it, hopefully after I've read the book.

This is were it goes so very wrong. You've got Smith making wise ass remarks left right and centre. There is a slim chance the trailer is just a mess thanks to the Fox marketing department, but honestly things are not looking too good here at all. It's too early to deem Proyas a sell out here, but one almost has to double check this is a Proyas film.

The book is a collection of stories, to the best of my knowledge the film is not a single take on any one of those stories, but takes more inspiration from them and the issues they raise.

Ah. Well, that kills any movie Will Smith is in, although some are more suited for that type of performance.

Without sound the trailer looked really serious, and I thought to myself "Wow, I hope Will Smith doesn't keep up his wise-ass comments act." As a matter of fact, I thought maybe he didn't. Guess I was wrong. I'd love to see him do a movie like this without being his typical self.

Reading the Hollywoodized Three Laws of Robotics is like reading the New International version of the Bible: all the poetry has been sucked out of it. That said, "Laws are made to be broken" is pretty cool.

The movie itself looks like it sucks. I love Dark City, and I, Robot seems like just another big budget, CGI sci-fi flick.

I'm beginning to get the same impression, I hope I'm wrong. It's always good to keep your expectations low, I guess :?

Saw the new trailer for I, Robot today in front of Hellboy, and I thought it looked pretty cool. Of course, I'm a sucker for "big budget, CGI sci-fi flick"s. :) I've never read the book (heretic!), so I don't have any pre-concieved notions...

Once again, I have no sound at my job, but I like the cut of that trailer more than the first one that was posted. It looks like they cut WIll SMiths trademark "humor" from this one, although with no sound, I can't tell precisely. But I didn't see him smirking or laughing at his own jokes during this trailer.

I'll see this movie, even if it is just for the special effects, whcih I think look phenomenal. Those robots look very creepy to me for some reason. Plus I haven't been disappointed with an Alex Proyas film yet.
