rustyjaw
So we got our shipment of toys. We're feverishly getting ready to open the online store to sell them, but I brought the latest ones to work and set them up. Here are the new ones: The top row is all new, the right side of the second row is also new, as is the bottom row on the right. Acid, Balloon, and Visible Dog (remember the "visible man" toy in the 80's?) the monkeys are a new shape for this toy line, they also have fur! They are flanked by some pretty wicked looking figures. The clear skeleton glows in the dark, the black one's paint glows  The orange one is from a dutch designer, the graphic is a cityscape, looks like Amsterdam a bit. Another new shape from a designer named Touma, looks a bit like Sonic the Hedgehog. I love this guy. Weird new designs, love the Borg-like green dog! Check out the hot chick This figure is called the "Knuckle Bear" this version is called "Waver" - pretty damn hot if you asked me. He is also designed by Touma. This one is a large figure (8" tall). All of the 2" figures come with cards and these buttons.

Kid Robot sells these, but aside from the Waver Knuckle bear, they don't have any of these new one's in stock yet. They were just released, and we happened to get one of the first shipments. Robot Monkey
Neat stuff! Some of those little guys sure are creepy looking! I like the Knuckle Bear and Visible Dog. No robot monkeys, I see. -j
rustyjaw
my mom happened to walk buy and see the pictures on my laptop. she wants some Cool! We can arrange that. the trick with Kid Robot is that they sell these "blind" meaning you buy an opaque box and don't know what you're getting until you open it up. We are opening the boxes and selling the figures in their sealed plastic ploybags, so you will be able to pick the one you want.

Chris F
Ed, once you're all set up, could I get like a random assortment of the creepiest, coolest ones (in your opinion)? They look so damn cool, I'd have a hard time picking them out myself.

The site will have very nice photos of each piece with front and back shots, so you can get a good idea of what they look like. Right now we are narrowly focusing on this one line of toys, but we may branch out if there's demand. The truth is that we don't expect to make a lot of money on this, we're doing it partly because we love the figures, and partly because the U.S. distribution of them is frustrating. A lot of good figures are never brought here, which means you pay exhorbidant amounts of money to buy them one at a time on Ebay and ship them from Hong Kong. Shipping one of these from Hong Kong can cost as much as the figure itself. <!--QuoteBegin-Bruce B Is this from the Village People collection? They're a line I saw whilst in London recently when I stumbled upon one of those terrific little "off the main streets" independent retailers of importerd toys.....etc. You can browse the line here (click 'In Crowd' on the left there). I'm looking to get some of them, especially King Ken who is quite expensive, about ?26, but he's rather large and is a limited release. The creator's page is here too. I love those guys. If you ever come to ship overseas I'd be good to send you some business your way sometime. I've not seen them here. Daniel
rustyjaw
Oh, I have seen those figures at Kid Robot, they are quite nice. They remind me a bit of Aardman characters, I think it's the eyes. We are planning to ship overseas!
