Bruce B
Just got the okay from my boss to use a corporate timeshare week in Hawaii(just have to pay the $118 exchange fee) and was wondering if any of you guys have been there, and if so which island is preferable, and what attractions were worth seeing. We are not going until next spring but I need to lock in the timeshare week very soon.
Eldorado
When I was there(6-7 years ago) we stayed on Oahu. Saw Pearl Harbor, Hanauma Bay was a really nice beach, Diamond Head is a fun and easy climb. It's really nice out there, obviously, I'd like to go again sometime. exile
If you have the oppurtunity to visit the other islands I would. The most Popular islands are Maui and Oahu so those I would personally avoid. The best islands out there IMHO are Kaui and Hawaii(the big island). I would atlleast try to see Waikiki and Pearl Harbor but I wouldn't spend too much time on Oahu compared to the others. Then again I guess it depends on what you wish to see. Maui and Oahu are too commercial for my tastes but to each their own I suppose.
Bruce B
Thanks for the suggestions. If any of you flew from the East Coast would you suggest maybe stopping and spending a day at Vegas or something to help break up the long ass flight? I'm afraid I'll lose my mind flying for that long.

When you finally arrive at your destination you might be to numb and surly to do anything. I would definitely find a reason to stop and spend a day with friends or somewhere else fun. Don't make it too short or you might feel like you've just extended the amount of time spent in limbo. -j

Flying from Oklahoma, its not a difficult flight since its nearly a s traight thru flight thru Dallas.
Guest Bryan
We flew Atlanta to SF to Honolulu. It was nice to get out in SF for a few hours and stretch our legs. Had I known Ed at the time, I would have gotten him to pick us up at the airport (on his bike, I guess ) and give us the insider's tour. Make a stopover if you can swing it. Cyberwoo
I spent 17 days in Maui and loved every minute of it. Lots to do and see. There are plenty of get away spots if you want to avoid people as well. I remember taking a drive and finding a bay off the beaten path so me and a friend walked down to it and snorkled for a while. I'm pretty sure we walked through someones backyard to get there. Saw a couple topless native women on the way down to the bay. Anyway the snorkling was great. Saw a baracuda swim underneath me and about soiled myself. Then just as we were about to leave a school or spinner dolphins swam into the bay and wanted to play. That was something I will never forget. So damn cool. I want to go back. Have fun on your trip!
