Heh, seen this on a few sites already, the meme is really spreading fast... I'll be doing it twice - one from work, one from home as what I have available is fairly different. Work is a subset of home, but has some choices not available at home.

work "allplaylist", Winamp, 3361 tracks (and I've a wallet of data CDs filled with more...):

Interpol - "Obstacle 2"

Explosions In The Sky - "Moon Is Down"

808 State - "Crossword"

Tanya Donelly - "Last Rain"

Jane Siberry - "Angel Voyeur"

TMBG - "Snowball In Hell"

Kirstin Hersh - "Pennyroyal Tea"

Belle & Sebastian - "Winter Wooskie"

Lush - "Ladykillers"

Bikini Kill - "I Like Fucking"

Hmmm. Good old Winamp random, which isn't very random in my experience. Haven't listened to that Jane Siberry album much, same with the TMBG track which I should delete as I haven't listened to them in a long, long time. All the rest are recently played (ie in the past week), more or less. Don't particularly like that B&S song, but I do listen to the folder a lot... I listen to music almost non-stop at work.

Lyle Lovett / Step Inside This House / I've Had Enough

Morphine / Yes / Gone for Good

Seatbealts / Ask DNA (Cowboy Bebop) / Hamduche

Essential Johnny Cash / Johnny Cash / Man in Black

Faith No More / Angel Dust / Be Aggressive

KMFDM / Naive / Naive

Dave Brubeck / Dave brubeck's Greatest Hits / Blue Rondo a la Turk

Revolting Cocks - "Beers, Steers & Queers"

Now there's an album I've not listened to in a while. Buck Satan comes correct! I really like the "Linger Ficken' Good" album, particularily the cover they do of "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy," and "Linger Ficken' Good," with kids singing 'it's a RevCo world'.

Although, on I don't seem to remember Rod Stewart's version of "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" containing the line 'She said I'm sorry but I'm out of KY Jelly/Never Mind sugar/we can catch the early movie.'

Just checked the CD changer at the house, I was playing rock-n-roll loudly this weekend:

-Nirvana Nevermind "Breed" always gets me goin'

-Peter Gabriel 3 SA-CD (just got this recently & love it-now I need to get the first two albums to complete my P.G. collection)

-R.E.M. Automatic for the People (listened to the surround track on the DVD-Audio disc for the first time; nice surround mix too!)

-Queens of the Stone Age Songs For the Deaf

-The Smithereens Blown to Smithereens

PS Sorry, I don't listen to music on my PC so this'll have to do...

Kinky Friedman - Shield of Abraham

Whoa, another Kinky Friedman fan (maybe)! :tu:

Check out Pearls in the Snow, the Kinky Friedman tribute CD if you haven't already. There's a lot of great people on there like Willie Nelson, Tom Waits and Dwight Yoakam.

Hell, yeah, I love the Kinkster! His mystery novels wore a little thin on me, but how can you not dig the man who wrote, "Get Your Biscuits in the Oven and Your Buns in the Bed"? I like to throw on a mix of Kinky and the Flying Burrito Burrito Brothers to satisfy that 1970's country-rock nostalgia. I'll check out that tribute disk, thanks for the link.

Interesting mixture there.

"Stripped" is possibly my favorite Depeche Mode track of all, "Plainsong" is from m favorite Cure album, Skinny Puppy is the band that changed my general outlook on what music could be, and the Revolting Cocks are just plain hilarious.
