The Daisy
This is looking pretty good for a GBA golf game. Tiger Woods 2004 was ok in my estimation... it's just too damn easy to putt. Mario Golf pics (Magic Box) Glen
Guest Bryan
I'm not impressed by those graphics at all. I am hoping for much more than I am seeing, so far. It may just be a case of poor screenshot selection, but I am wary. I was expecting a mini-version of the gorgeous Mario Golf on the Cube. Those textures look several years old. adamsappel
Color me unimpressed as well. Where are Mario, Luigi, et al? I want to play as the mascot characters, dammit, and on fantasy courses with warp pipes! I thought TW 2004 was craptacular. ESPN Final Round was far superior a couple of years ago. I don't understand why the top-down perspective can't be done better. Karnaaj Rally, a $10 budget title, has a very detailed 3-D overhead view that would be perfect for golf. rustyjaw
Yeah, I'll chime in and say those screens don't make me want the game. Good point about Karnaaj Allen, golf works well in that mode, why not use the GBA for it's strengths?
Graeme
Where are Mario, Luigi, et al? On page 2. There are screens there that show Mario, Donkey, Yoshi, and Princess whoever. There are also screen from Cabecube with the Kids shown in the GBA game, so if they're in the Japanese GC, and not here, maybe they'll be removed for US version? Mark E
so if they're in the Japanese GC, and not here Well, do we know what the connectivity features are yet? Maybe that's the answer?
The Daisy
IGN now has a video available showing the game as well. Japanese trailer for Mario Golf I guess I'm just of a different mind than you guys. I really like the look of the game. Glen
adamsappel
Preview at 1up.com. I like this: You can even "level up" your hero, just like in a real RPG, and buff out his stats before difficult matches -- take this to the extreme, and you'll end up with a guy who can hit the ball 370 yards and bounce the ball off the pin on a par-4. (Better yet: if you own Toadstool Tour and a link cable, you can transfer your Advance Tour character over to the GameCube and use him on any of that game's courses.) I could use an uber-golfer on some of those mini-game challenges.
Mark E
Yeah, I read over at GameSpot where they were talking about it being practically a golf game plus RPG. That's awesome. It brings back fond memories of SimGolf, which has the same sort of RP-esque elements built into its 'course pro' .
The Daisy
I'm still excited about this one. I just love Camelot's golf games. Glen
rustyjaw
OK, the movies have changed my mind, in motion this game looks quite nice. I like the way they show green slopes... [OT comment: Why on earth does IGN have 640x480 movies of the GBA!? Even the 320x240 ones have more pixels than the GBA screen]
Guest Bryan
Just checking back in here- MG should be out in six days. Please post review links when you see them. Thanks

The Daisy
See... I told you guys. I can't wait to get me some GBA golfing in. I picked up Tiger Woods 2004 and enjoyed it for a while, but I've always been a bigger fan of these type of golf games. Can't wait! fishepa
I will be getting this game as well. I love Mario Golf!
JTello
My next GBA purchase! :tu: On a side note, while browsing the internet I came across what I believe are photgraphs of Glen's Car! I think Glen and Pharmboy use these when they are looking at the world!

The Daisy
My $21.09 will be firmly, yet politely put down at Best Buy tomorrow night so that I can pick this up. Glen
The Daisy
Picked this up today, but still haven't had a chance to crack into it. I'll post an early look at it tomorrow morning. Glen
Guest Bryan
I got it at BB last night for $19.99 with GGC. I only had about fifteen minutes to play it, but I didn't even get to hit a single shot. The damn story goes on forever at the beginning. Too bad there isn't a fast forward feature tied into the shoulder buttons.
