rustyjaw
Have you ever spent 2 hours deeply involved in something so stupidly simplistic and yet so compulsively habit-forming that if crack trees bore heroin fruit, you'd be hard-pressed to tear yourself away to take a bite? It all comes down to the lone red box vs the evil blue boxes: Yes, as disturbingly stupid as that looks, it's not half as stupid as you'll feel as the guy next to you on the subway stares in disbelief that someone with enough sense to own a Palm Tungsten E would actually play that game without so much as pausing to breathe on the entire ride home. OMG, I need help
Robot Monkey
What, you run away from the evil Blues? Is it more addictive than Trogdor the arcade game? -j

There's 'classic' mode where the blue boxes always follow the same path, and then there's the upstart 'random' where they act as if they have no purpose, but we all know better. Your score is how long you last without touching a blue box or the perimeter.

No, it's only about 20 minutes, but I started down this treacherous path well before I left work.

Carlucci
So what's your record, Ed? Carlos.
rustyjaw
On Classic game, Normal difficulty my longest time is 23.16 seconds On Classic game, Hard it's 17.00 seconds On Random normal it's 26.00 On Random hard it's 21.12 I realized that over time the blue boxes speed up slightly, making the game a lot harder. I'd transfer it to my actual old Palm and give it a shot if 1) I were at home and 2) I knew where the thing actually was at home.
rustyjaw
I made a movie of the game using a friends digital camera. It's very hard to play the game while trying to film it as well, but this gives you the idea: digicrack.mp4 2.7MB mpeg4 May require QuickTime BTW, this is Classic mode, Normal difficulty. Oh, and I changed the color scheme.
Orpheus
I'll have to download this tonight, since it can actually run on my old POC Palm.
rustyjaw
I just wrote the developer to ask for an average time statistic in addition to the list of best times. I've improved my Classic/Hard time to 19.04. Clearly a cry for help.

rustyjaw
I tried it on one of the PCs here at work, and it runs fine :? It's slower than the Palm version, and not as smooth, but it's very similar otherwise. It looks like it's in the "classic" mode. 47.18 seconds
