Ghost Recon : IT - *Group Play*

Well, I picked up Ghost Recon : Island Thunder and I'm ready to go tonight.

 

As usual, I will host a 12 man game for us. Seeing as how I just got it, I don't have anything unlocked, but t should be fun on these new maps.

 

Game time starts at : 9PM EST

 

Make sure you've added me to your friends list if you want to play.

If you're online and you DON'T get an invite from me, please send an invite to me, this way I'll know you're online, and I'll invite you into the game.

I drove like a batoutahell at 8:30 tonight to pick this up. Had a blast online, until I suddenly had the urge to puke (nothing to do with the game or the company). I love the deliberate pace of the game. Nothing like sneaking up on a guy oblivious to your presence and puttin' a cap in 'im. Or so I assume. I was usually the oblivious guy.

Had fun Saturday with you guys and hope to do it again. After playing some team games on Sunday it seems the spawn camping has gotten worse. With GRIT now offering scoreboards (similar to RTCW) the stat whores are going crazy trying to get kills. I really hope Ubi can update the game with a three to five second invincibility period to try and deter this.

I noticed the spawn killing too. My remedy is to turn off respawns :D Of course then you get the asshats who join, then leave as soon as they are killed.

 

GRIT is definetely a game to be played with mature adults, such as the LCVG/HTF crew.

 

Go pick it up people!!

I'll be there as well... luckily, my volleyball game is early tonight, so I'll be home in time to play :D

 

I hosted up to 7 people last night without a problem (no explosives). I assume my connection could handle 8. I managed to get a couple new guys on, that like my hosting style (3 respawns & no spawn killing allowed).

I really hope Ubi can update the game with a three to five second invincibility period to try and deter this.
Another nice twist/fix would be to make a person invisible within a 5-ft radius of the spawn point. Then the campers would have the tables turned on them. But if you are playing right, it would just give the person who is spawned a chance to look around and pick a path before leaving the spawn point, all without fear of a bullet in the back of the head.

Would you also couple that with not allowing the newly-spawned player to shoot for the invisibility period?

Yeah, I guess you'd probably have to, but that does take the fun out of it... I know, let the newly-spawned player shoot for the first week or so of the patch, that way all the spawn campers will get a nice surprise! :twisted:
