Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow improves upon the most successful Xbox Live game of all time with new single- and multi-player missions, new online modes, split-screen for cooperative gameplay, and a host of new features that maximizes the possibilities of Xbox Live. In fact, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow will be the one of the first games to deliver the new Xbox Live 3.0 features to the gaming community.

More R6 coming your way guys! My head is still spinning wondering when the hell Ubi became the company it is today.

Moving topic to general as no specific platform has been announced as of yet.

I think I missed something. The quote says the game will maximize Xbox Live and be among the first to deliver Live 3.0 features. Doesn't that mean it'll be an Xbox title?

Maybe he meant to put that on the Far Cry: Instincts thread.

Romier's a little screwy that way....

Confirmation at Gamespot with screens:

http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/04/07/news_6093093.html

Black Arrow's campaign mode will once again see players assuming command of the four-man Team Rainbow squad, and able to issue voice commands to their colleagues using an Xbox Live headset. The game's plot focuses on a group of terrorists that has made repeated attempts to kidnap telemetry and rocket scientists so that it might develop weapons of mass destruction. It's up to Team Rainbow to stop the terrorists, and to prevent a potential conflict in the oil-rich regions around the Black Sea.

In addition to the campaign, Black Arrow will boast a number of multiplayer gameplay options, including "Capture the Point" and "Capture the Flag" as well as those found in Rainbow Six 3. Also new to the game will be an option for players to discuss tactics and strategies in private team lobbies before taking part in online matches.

This is definitely good news. More RS6!!!!!

I really like the idea of private lobby's so that team member can plan their tactics. Cool stuff.

I wonder if they'll do any tweaks to the voice recognition? I don't know if it's my voice, or what but...when I issue the command "move", it's like I'm talking to a brick wall. :) I always have to say "go go go". Actually, you can get away with "go go".

Can't wait to play this one. Sure is a ways off though!!!

Yes, it's just you.

Ubisoft is French, and coincidentally, those are the four big game buying regions outside of Japan.

Not to mention, Rainbow (going back to the book here ;) ) is by definition a multinational force, including French soldiers.

Yes, that's what the "Rainbow" means. Get it?

If you have not read "Rainbow Six", I enthusiastically recommend it. Even if you are not a Tom Clancy fan, you need not have read his previous books to understand what is going on.

The Rainbow Six team is a bunch of serious badasses. It's a gripping read, and one of my favorites from Tom Clancy. They get called in, and fuckers die! Great stuff.

I enjoy watching Cal and you guys playing Rainbow Six. There is a lot of action going on, and I really like the graphics in Six 3.

As most everyone knows, Cal loves sniping, and it can be kind of suspenseful watching someone who is just as good as he is as a sniper when they are the only ones left alive. Every little movement in some of the rooms in the game can make you jerk in anticipation.
