PoisonJam
Night at the Opera (one of my all-time faves!), Triplets of Belleville, and maybe the Last Samurai. Good week this week!
rustyjaw
I didn't see Triplets of Belleville, but I'm tempted to buy it blind. Same for The Last Samurai, although it's more likely a rental. And Happy Birthday!! EDIT: Shouldn't this be 5/4?
The Daisy
Last Samurai for me. My wife and I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, despite a couple issues. Glen
Angel P
Shouldn't this be 5/4? Yes, it should. And thanks.
Chris F
The Last Samurai (although I had it two weeks ago - and watched it about 4 times since then). I LOVED this movie. And I HATE Tom Cruise. I remember seeing the trailers and going "Tom Cruise as a samurai? YEAH F'N RIGHT!" Bought the DVD blindly when I saw my local place had it early, and I loved it. Beautifull shot, beautifully acted (yes, even Cruise), and a wonderful, but sad story. Ken Watanabe amazed me in this movie. After watching it, I wish he had won Best Supporting Actor at last years Oscars.
Andy Sheets
Was Samurai Jack Season 1 supposed to come out this week? I have it

Failsafe
Picked up Three's Company S2. There's a short retrospective on John's life and career which is nice. Anchor Bay did a great job with the packaging as well.

rustyjaw
Didn't come out this week, but we rented Big Fish this evening and loved it. Albert Finney is amazing.
Chris
After watching the trailer for Triplets of Belleville on the Big Fish DVD, I was all ready to go and get it, but for some reason it's not coming out in Canada until the 18th . So nothing new for me this week.
rustyjaw
Uh, yeah, Triplets of Belleville is incredible, absolutely amazing, gorgeous animation, wonderful design and art, lovely storytelling, love it, love it, love it. I rented it, but I will be buying it soon...everyone should see it! (except maybe small children as it has some mildly disturbing scenes)
