JohnEBGood
Shadow Ops: Red Mercury has gone gold. I'm starting to get pretty psyched for this game if it's as good as the screenshots look. Check out the release Anyone else looking forward to this?
MrJames
Its on my "might buy" list for now. I'll wait for some reveiws and impressions of the finished game before I make up my mind.
Guest Bryan
My sentiments exactly.
JohnEBGood
The actual website for the game looks pretty cool. I like the Black Hawk Down type of feel it looks like it might have. Anyways, check out the site: link
Chris F
Played the demo on this months OXM Disc. Totally meh. Graphics were very average, and control wasn't very smooth. Aiming seemed a bit inconsistent. Although the concept was intruiguing to me at first, I'll be taking the wait and see approach with this now. JohnEBGood
I actually really like the demo. Even though the game isn't revolutionary or anything, it does seem like it could be a whole lot of fun on Live. I have a feeling I may end up spending quite a bit of time playing this Live over the summer.
Derrik Draven
I thought the movies of it looked pretty ho-hum. Maybe the released product will prove that wrong but, I'm definitely waiting to hear some opinions on the finished product before I buy. Union Carbine
Count me as someone else who enjoyed the demo. I'll probably wait for the early reviews to come rolling in but if they're solid, I'll definitely pick this up.
JohnEBGood
I'm really looking forward to playing the game on LIve with a bunch of buddies. Plus, the split screen feature sounds like it should be a lot of fun. There is a real cool preview here for the game at gamespot.
JohnEBGood
Has anyone played Shadow Ops since it came out? I've played the single player and like it but haven't even gotten around to Live yet. Anyone?
Jason Merrick
I have not played it, but the little word of mouth I've heard has not been good. A couple people have told me that the Live games are completely lagged out and all but impossible to enjoy.
Camp
I've played it (though not on Live). It's easily one of the worst games on the Xbox. It's a pure shooter (Doom, Quake) that kind of looks like more of a realistic sim-style shooter (Rainbow Six). Enemies just spawn out of nowhere...you'll think you cleared an area only to find more guys crawling out of who-knows-where. Additionally, enemies & friendlies alike know nothing of seeking cover. They simply walk right through the middle of a firefight as if they're in a video game or something. The AI is without question the worst I have experienced in this generation. I'll be walking through the map trying to keep with the NPC's on my side. I turn and standing right next to me is an enemy just looking at me. They just come out of nowhere and walk right through the battlefield (without being shot at) and stand inches from you! It's kind of stuck between wanting to be a true combat sim but plays much closer to Serious Sam (albiet a very bad Serious Sam clone). I'd suggest avoiding this one at all costs. JohnEBGood
Wow. I didn't think it was that bad. Granted, it's not the best game on the market right now, but it's still pretty fun. At least I thought so. I haven't played Live yet, but I thought the single player campaign was pretty decent. I guess I'm not down on it like you are. Derrik Draven
Camp - played the demo on the OXM disc. Thought it sucked. Was enough for me.
JohnEBGood
I actually liked the game more than the demo. The demo was old and a bunch of the stuff was fixed from that one to this one.
HL2CROSSFIREMOD
I really enjoy the game so far.
JohnEBGood
I'll admit. i haven't been playing it as much as I was a few days ago, but I'm still having fun with it despite some deficiencies. It's just fun, period, IMO.
