Romier S
Posted on Gamespot today: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/driving/streetr...ws_6073488.html When 3DO filed for bankruptcy on May 28 the future of its upcoming games and long-running franchises was thrown into doubt, but at a bankruptcy auction in San Francisco yesterday a number of them found new homes. Street Racing Syndicate was bought by Namco for a little over $1.5 million, the rights to the High Heat baseball series went to Microsoft for an undisclosed sum, and the assets of the Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic were sold to Ubi Soft for $1.3 million. No information on 3DO's remaining assets has been forthcoming at this time, but we'll bring you more information on this story as soon as it becomes available. I supposed MS's Baseball series will carry the new High Heat banner. Interested to see what Ubi does with Heroes as well. YOU MEAN NO ONE IS INTERESTED IN ARMY MEN!
Mark E
I'll give $20 Canadian for the Army Men franchise, if only to insure a game in the series is never released ever again. Or we'll start a games label here and release an authentic plastic men FPS game with motion-captured wobble .
Scott Van Dyke
I would be partial to an incarnate of the "Total Eclipse" game. Anybody else have fun with this gem? That must have been 10 years ago, damn.
dogbert
I worked with one of the designers of Total Eclipse for about six months. Cool guy with some smart ideas. Shame our game got canned.
Mutombo
So will Microsoft only be using the Hight Heat name, or will they include aspects of the High Heat engine into their baseball games? I would hate to see this franchise die, it is my favorite baseball series.
Chatakinns
I still am hoping for The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. That game sounded awesome.
