Buck
Ok, so sometime this weekend we'll be running the Positron (Vahzilok) Task Force. If you've got a hero ranging from level 10 thru 15 (the closer to 11 you are the better as we may need to travel to Boomtown) and have around 4 hours to spare and want to join, post here. The most we can hold is 8 in a group, so if you want in don't wait and be left outside looking in on the fun As soon as we have some people join we'll work out a start time. blackcalx
I can join as either a fire/fire blaster or a stone/war mace tanker. The blaster would require at least one level to be able to join, the tanker is ready to rock.
PoisonJam
I'm in as well. I'd like to roll out with my new fire/rad controller, but if he's not ready then Big Papa will answer the call (lvl 11 AR/Dev blaster). :tu:
dogbert
I'd love to get in on this, but can't commit till I know the time we're talking about. Currently lev 12 scrapper, though a repeat of last night's XP would make me very close to
Cathartic
I've put Procyon in a stasis chamber this week to prevent him from leveling out of 15 (he's 1 bub away from 16). Hopefully dinging to 16 during the TF won't cause me to be kicked out. Procyon is the only character I have in that level range, so it makes my choice easy. Level 15 Magic Blaster (Energy/Energy Manipulation). I just need to find out what time we'd be doing this, so I can work my other plans around it. Whooter
Ice Nyne could possibly participate, but I don't anticipate being available to play until late-ish Saturday or Sunday nights (like after 10pm Central)... She's yet another Blaster... :?
PoisonJam
So that's six people so far, time slot permitting. One scrapper (Brian), one tanker (either Shawn or Scott), and 4 blasters (Shawn or Scott, Me, Joel, and Adam). With that in mind, I think I will definitely try to buff up my controller so we have at least a little healing and crowd control.
dogbert
No controller or defender is definitely a Bad Thing for a Task Force mission...
blackcalx
Do we have any healers other than Nannou, particle1 and Psycho Cortex? We could have really used one last night during our venture into Perez Park. I've accrued more debt with my blaster in nine levels than I ever have with my level 22 defender. I think I died at least four times last night alone.
PoisonJam
My controller has a group heal power (radiant aura) but it doesn't heal for very much. Then again, he's only level 4. Still, though, the thing heals for like 14hp and even at level 4 that ain't a whole lot. Agreed about that disaster in Perez. I hate that zone more and more every time I play it. After you guys all died and went to the hospital for the final time, I tried to run out of the forest to join you. Of course, there were groups of mobs covering every path. Holding my breath, I tried to sprint past one, BAM, Mire Eidelon throws some tentacles up, holds me, and I'm pounded flat in 4 seconds. Hello, Nurse. :bang:
blackcalx
I'm either a team player or really fond of defenders because I'm very tempted to create another empathy defender (with a different secondary power set) just so that our lower-level characters have some support. It's not as fun to sit back and watch the carnage waiting for a chance to heal, but it is such a necessity, especially for a Task Force, to have some support characters that I can hardly stand to play without them. Buck
My defender is at level 7 now, so I might be able to hit 10, hopefully 11 by this weekend.
PoisonJam
Aw, I was hoping to see the mud pots in action again! Shawn, have you considered creating a controller and taking empathy as a secondary? You won't be quite as effective a healer as a defender empath, but in the later levels you'll still be very much in the thick of the battle as opposed to the more passive role of waiting to heal all the time. That's an exaggeration, of course, as Nannou brings a lot more to the table than just a first aid kit, but you know what I'm getting at. For example, if you create an Illusion/Empathy controller you will be able to deal some pretty good damage with Spectral Wounds, debuff with Blind, Deceive, and Flash, buff team defense with group invis, etc), and still provide healing with your secondary skillset. Of course a controller with empathy can never replace a true empath defender as an all-out healer (and we'll miss out on the godly recovery aura ), but if you're looking to do something a little different and still be able to heal, it might be something to consider? blackcalx
My only controller, Nierika, has Kinetics as a secondary power pool. The first ability I chose allows me to siphon endurance from a foe and transfer that as health to my party, so long as they are close enough to the poor sap that got sapped. Later abilities will let me drain health, slow recharge times and other status ailments all the while giving myself or the team a bonus in return. I figured it was enough of a departure from the empathy power set while still allowing me to heal. The earth manipulation power set is pretty cool as well, allowing me to lock enemies in stone cages, slowly crushing them and holding them in place. I would love to group up with this character and see how useful it is in a group setting as I've only gone solo with her to this point. In any case, I'll likely join the TF as Xtal since we seem to have quite a few blasters. Mud pots will come in handy for slowing recharge times and keeping enemies on me. Besides, I've been feeling awfully pretty lately and could use a few ugly comments. Also, nothing provides the material for poop jokes like the sound of mud pots. I'll likely pick up Rooted somewhere along the line so long as it isn't contending for Super Jump come time for level up.

Romier S
I have Gargamel who is a Gravity/Radiation Controller but he's only level 3. With some work though I could get him up to 10-11 by the weekend. Shouldn't take very long.

I know Psycho will be getting it, so when paired with Nannou, endurance should be full all the time
Buck
My tanker is now out of debt and around 600 to level 10. I don't see the need for 2 tanks in the TF, so I'll work on getting my defender up to 10 by the weekend. Though, as I've said before, with a bunch of blasters, the need for a defender or a controller isn't really needed if played right.
MastaRedSnappa
I'd be interested depending on the time (I can probably only play Sunday night). My main, Major Steroid, is a level 10 tanker (Invulnerability/Super Strength). My alt, Dark Panther, is a level 6 scrapper (Claws/Dark Armor). I could probably have my alt to level 10 by Sunday. I also have a level 6 blaster (Energy Blast/Energy Manipulation), Ol Dirty Blasta, but it sounds like there will be plenty of blasters so I'll just concentrate on my scrapper. If I can't make it, good luck to you guys. I look forward to teaming up with you all some day.
Cathartic
I should just add that my only real availability for this would be Saturday - probably the later the better (within reason). I'll be with my Dad on Sunday (being father's day and all, for those who may have forgotten!) and I'll have to get to bed at a reasonable time that night for work on Monday. Also, just so we're all on the same page, I should mention that I'm an east-coaster - so, "late" for you west-coasters translates to "really freakin' late" for me. Buck
We could start it tomorrow night and finish it up on Saturday, or, start it Saturday and finish up on Sunday night. What times are best for those participating? Also, I'll be on in the next couple of hours with my defender, Jim (not part of the SG) doing some door missions, so send me a tell if you want to team
PoisonJam
Any time after 10 EST is fine with me. If we play tonight I will be rolling with the smurf (blaster) because my controller is only level 7. If we start on Saturday, I think I'll be able to level my controller up enough tonight to be able to use him tomorrow. Scott, do you still need an SG invite? I didn't realize last night that Jim wasn't in or I would have logged on with Cynder to send you one. Sorry bout that.
Romier S
Scott, do you still need an SG invite? No I invited him last night.
blackcalx
With Dave and Scott's help I was able to get Xtal to level 12 last night. I'm looking forward to seeing how Rooted does against all of those stuns and disorients. Level 14 has been set aside for Super Jump, but come 16 I think I might get another attack power. At this point I have Bash, which is decent, and the slow constant damage of Mud Pots, but that's it.
Cathartic
I should be OK to start tonight, if that's what we want to do. That would also reduce the time required for this tomorrow, which would potentially work better for me. I could probably start anytime 8pm Eastern or later tonight.
