Angel P
To those that don't frequent HTF and DVDTalk, word is that another 20% off sale (similar to last winter's sale) begins tomorrow and ends 6/25. Use coupon code SUMMERSALE on in-stock DVDs only (sale excludes pre-orders). With their free shipping, much money can be saved on DVDs. Read about it here. boogieman
This may be my best chance to pick up the Sopranos and Band of Brothers for as cheap as I'm ever gonna find them.
ChoiceStriker
Wahoo, it worked - After trying for about 20 minutes this morning (about 6:30 a.m. central) to fight through the traffic, I finally got onto DDD and ordered the two Rurouni Kenshin box sets I'd been wanting for as long as I can remember. Granted, they're both backordered, so we'll see whether they can actually honor the order, but if they can, I'll be thrilled. Rurouni Kenshin: Wandering Samurai - Premium Box (6 discs): $67.18 (Regulary $83.98) Rurouni Kenshin: Legend Of Kyoto (8 discs): $71.98 (Regularly $89.98) So I saved $34.80. Not bad at all. Update: I just received an e-mail from DDD about the promotion, and they have a disclaimer that states: "*Offer valid on currently available DVD's only. Coupons do not apply to orders for prerelease DVD's. Other merchandise, including video games, accessories or electronics are excluded from the sale. Coupon valid from 6/18/04-6/25/04 only. Previous sales are excluded. Prices listed reflect the 20% savings. Coupon may only be used once per customer. Some restrictions apply, see site for details. We reserve the right to limit quantities." No mention of backordered items, but who knows how they might interpret "currently available." Sorry, another update: I just checked the order status online, and DDD is showing an estimated ship date of 06/28/04, which I can definitely live with, so it looks like they do intend to honor those prices.
