Hank Scorpio
Dammit! I called up a local Gamestop on Monday, they said it would be out next Wednesday. No problem-o I thought. My Worms 3D itch would be scratched next week. Well, my pals and I all really wanted to check it out last night, so one of them picked it up on the 'Cube. Good fun. But, the person who picked it up was told by the EBGames clerk that the Xbox version wouldn't be out until July 22. Sure enough, the EBGames website says the same. Even though I'd rather have the delays than a buggy product, I was really geeked about it coming out next week. Here's to hoping it ships in July! blackcalx
Except that Worms 3D actually exists on three other platforms. I wonder what could be so different between internet play on the PC and Live play on the Xbox that requires so much extra time.

Certification by Microsoft. It's a seperate process to the regular QA process, and equally as stringent with a whole bunch of TRCs to meet. You'd think maybe they could pick up the phone and give Microsoft a call saying, "Hey, we're having trouble implementing some Live aspects, could ya help us out?" 8)
AnthonyVolpe
At this rate Worms 3D 2 will be out for the PS2 and GameCube before the XBox version sees the light of day. And Half-Life 2. And Halo 2. And the Pink Floyd reunion. And Peter Jackson's Hobbit movie, and cold fusion, and the second coming of Christ... :?

Guest Bryan
Do you think Worms will see the light of day with Acclaim's financial woes?

blackcalx
A week from tomorrow. The question is whether or not it will arrive. I"m certainly hoping so.
Failsafe
Oh my freaking God, I just checked EB.............................tell me I'm seeing things?????????? EBGames now has it listed for 8/2. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:
blackcalx
Say it ain't so! I can't get to EB from work to verify that, but just the thought is a sad one.
Camp
Yup, 8/2 it is (until they delay it again). Now I'm not so sure I'll buy it since Worms Forts: Under Siege is due to ship only two months after Worms 3D (10/1). Does anyone have details on Worms Forts (almost typed worms 'farts')? Will it have online multiplayer like Worms 3D? All I know is that it adds the building of defendable forts to the Worms 3D style.
JoeyN
8/2 now. It should be called Worms Forever capt

Carlucci
That's it, I'm cancelling my pre-order! With ESPN football coming out next week, and (hopefully) Rainbow 6: Black Arrow soon after that, there will be no time for Worms before Halo 2. If you all swear it is totally awesome after it comes out, maybe I'll reconsider. Carlos.

All I know is that it adds the building of defendable forts to the Worms 3D style. Pretty much - more team focused with the addition of buildings etc, capture the flag etc I believe. Either it's going to get delayed or Worms3D will just quietly slip away from the US release list. Note that Worms3D came out a long time ago in Europe without XBL support - this was an addition for the US release...

blackcalx
Now EB says 8/10. I can only hope that such a rapid change means a set date instead of an estimate.
Guest Bryan
We'll all be playing Black Arrow by 8/4. They really screwed the pooch.
JoeyN
Think im just gonna cancel the preorder and put the extra $5 on ESPN next week capt
