Mutombo
Since it has gotten to the point where I can't use my xbox for more than 5 minutes without getting a dirty disc error I think it is time for a replacement drive. Browsing around online I have found a few different types, but I'm not sure which one is the best/most reliable. The two main kinds I have found are the Phillips and the Thompson drives...I believe these are the actual drives that come shipped in the xbox. On ebay they also have a bunch of Samsung drives that have been "modified" to fit on the xbox. I'm also curious, If I replace the drive myself, will I be able to log on to XBL? The main reason I'm replacing the drive in the first place is to get online, so if it wouldn't work then I'm just gonna buy a new system. Thanks for the help.
