Both sets will feature new 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Track. Extras will include an audio commentary by director Frank Darabont, a Shark Tank Redemption spoof, two in-depth documentaries, photo gallery, storyboards, a 2004 Charlie Rose Show Segment, the films theatrical trailer, and other DVD-ROM features that have yet to be confirmed. In addition to all this, the limited edition will include film historian Mark Kermode?s book about the movie?s production and huge popularity along with Thomas Newman's soundtrack. We've attached artwork for both editions below

I'll gladly double dip for Shawshank. That deluxe package will definitely be mine as I do not own the soundtrack to the movie as of yet. So glad to see this coming.

What's even better news is that the film is getting a theatrical re-release in selected cities across the globe in September.

It's certainly one of Tom Newman's very best. It's a shame the CD in the deluxe set will be the same as the existing album because there is an entire theme that appears a few times in the film that is ignored completely on the CD. It's something that has bugged me for ten years. :?

Despite owning the score already myself, I'll still opt for the Deluxe Edition.

1994 was a good year!

Good year for movies with....anal rape.

Joking aside I think Shawshank is a great movie. One of my favorites. That being said though I doubt I'll get the SE dvd. Not exactlly the type of movie that needs one IMO. I have had the soundtrack for a while now so that doesn't change my opinion.

Shawshank has got to be one of my favorite movies of all time.

Agreed. Redemption and Field Of Dreams are my favorites. Just finished watching the 10th anniversary DVD of FOD and it made me want to see Shawshank Redemption but I'd already sold it on eBay when the SE was announced. Can't wait for the limited edition!
