New Resident Evil :Apoc Trailer

Mmmmm.... Jill Valentine. :)

I saw the first movie on HBO one night. While it wasn't necessarily a four-star movie, it was rather entertaining in a big, dumb action movie sort of way. I imagine that the sequel will be more of the same. That said, it may be worth a rental, or at the very least, I can record it on my DVR when it gets played on HBO. ;)

At least in this trailer, it shows Milla using a cable to walk down the side of the building; earlier clips I saw made it look like she was doing a Spiderman thing. I'll go see it, not necessarily the first weekend, but it's gotta be better than AvP! Oops, thou shalt not judge a movie before its released...

Can someone please tell me the name of the song and artist that is playing at the beginning of the first Resident Evil movie? It's the scene where the virus is being released. I liked it a lot. Are there vocals in the complete track?

Do you mean the score (the techno-y track playing at the start) or an actual song? If its the score Marilyn Manson composed it and five music cues appear on the Official Soundtrack (that being one of them).

It must be the score. Yes, it is techno-y allright. Alright, I'm gonna have to get the soundtrack. Does it go on for a while, or is it short, like in the movie?

Thanks Romier. I would appreciate it. 20 minutes of similar music would not be bad at all.

My tivo was kind enought to record it from the Sci-Fi channel a few days ago, and I was really digging that opening sequence music. I played it over and over until my wife made me stop.

The good news is that she liked the RE movie enough that she agreed to go see the next movie with me at the theater.

I just got back. I thought it was a HUGE improvement over the first one. Definetely much more in the tone of the games, cheesey lines and all!

I found the score in this one to be very forgettable, about the only thing that is not as good as the first one.

PS - You get to see Milla's mosquito bites 8)

What about Jill Valentine's? I'm much more interested in what she's got under the hood, if you know what I mean. ;)

Oh yeah, that's right. I'm a perv! [/b]

I'm right there with you....and unfortunately no you don't get to see those.....but I do think I need to find where to buy that costume at for my wife!

Carlos,

How does it compare to the 1st one? I really enjoyed the 1st Resident Evil. Also, is the music score similiar to the original? I loved Manson's score.

-Dean-

I liked it more than the first one.

The score is nowhere near the same, unfortunately.

The first movie was more stylisting, with a music-video like quality, where the music helped tell the story.

The second movie is more like your formulaic action movie, but one where the formula is tried and true.

It's like riding a roller-coaster that you've ridden many times. You know what to expect, but you can still enjoy the ride. Even so, there are some scenes that made me jump.

Also, RE:A interjects some comic relief, and it works very well.

I read a bit of trivia that the actress playing Jill Valentine studied the game character. Most of her expressions and line delivery where dead on impersonations of Jill from the game.

And you guys are forgetting. You get to see some Zombie Ta-tas too!

Carlos.
