I hope this helps them sell this title as they well are aiming for. Personally, since I will have just gotten NCAA, I could have waited till the original ESPN release date for. Anyway, I'm looking forward to both games! :tu: :tu:

I wonder how this approach they are taking with the ESPN series will affect the market? If it'll have the effect they are looking for?

Too bad JTello isn't buying this one for me too.

It's not enough that I gave your wife a baby, now I have to buy you video games too!

;) :green:

Besides, they're MY Patriots anyway.

:lmfao: Oh my god, that might be the funniest thing I've read here at LCVG!

Keith, if one were to look up the definition of a fair-weather-fan, your picture would surely be plastered next to it,... ON A BILLBOARD!!!

You didn't even jump on "Your Patriots" bandwagon till 3/4 of the second Superbowl season had passed! And even then, you only watched maybe the first and last five minutes of games! What a joke! :lmfao:

I've come to the conclusion that every post that KFredericks makes here at LCVG or on any other internet forum needs to be preceded with a headline warning, "Caution, The Following Words are Only Meant to Flame, Please Read Lightly!" :tu:

...fair-weather-fan...

I think JTello needs to fully disclose the fact that not too long ago, while watching a Patriots game, where the patriots were losing in the last few minutes of a game, JTello actually shut off his television in disgust, only to learn on the news that the Patriots won the game.

Mr. Tello has never understood the definition of fair-weather-fan and has always sought to mark me with that label. In actuality, I rarely watch sporting events from beginning to end, unless I find myself in the company of people determined to watch such an event (Superbowl being the most common example). So I don't ping around to sports teams that do well, as a true fair-weather-fan would. I am not a fan at all, fair-weather or otherwise.

But I am game for NFL2K5 folks. Can't wait! Videogames transcend weather patterns.

Well if you needed anymore confirmation:

http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/07/12/news_6102369.html

The 2005 football season is starting early this year--on consoles, anyway. Following unconfirmed reports last week, ESPN Videogames announced today that ESPN NFL 2K5 has gone gold and will indeed ship July 20. The "E" for everyone-rated game is being released for the Xbox and PlayStation 2.

ESPN NFL 2K5's new ship date gives the Visual Concepts-developed game a one-month head start on its rival, Electronic Arts' Madden NFL 2005. Besides moving up its release date, co-publishers Sega and Take-Two interactive have also drastically discounted the game, which will sell for the bargain price of $19.99 (versus Madden's $49.99 price point).
