IGN give Pure Pinball a 6.7. There complaints are only 4 tables, you cant make the ball launcher go slow or fast, and the high score isnt displayed on the table while playing.

Ill wait for this one to drop into the discount bins before picking it up

Damn! How hard is it to make a decent pinball game, especially for the XBox? And why can't they license some of those cool machines, like the Creature from the Black Lagoon or Addam's Family (yeah, money)? Oh well, like Capt wrote, I'll wait for the price to drop on this one.

I think that's a terrible review that comes down to the game not being what the reviewer wanted regardless of the quality of what was presented in the game. How does it compare to other pinball games? What's the quality of the tables offered like? He glosses over things like that, instead deciding to mark it down because of things like the menus are too plain.

I absolutely agree Brian. I consider that review glowing because it praises the physics, which is by far the single most important aspect of a pinball game. I've bought too many pinball games that had a nice selection of tables, but had crappy physics that made the game completely worthless **cough**Sierra**cough** - heck, when I finaly found a pinball game with good physics I was ecstatic even though it had only one table (the Pro Pinball series). Because good physics means complex nuances in the tables, which means you have something to sink your teeth into and learn.

This reviewer has his priorities backward IMO. Physics are the number on priority in pinball. Well-designed tables that utilize the physics are number two. Graphics are third. The rest is superfluous as long as it's functional.

I won't hesitate to buy this game the day it's released.

I hope Best Buy stocks it so I can get an additional $5 off with the gamer gift card coupon. =)

I'm not gonna hold my breath on that one. The Best Buys in Wisconsin at least have been horrible about stocking new titles that are not major releases. I'm sure I'll be going to EB for this, they'll probably be the only store neart me who stocks it.
