Orpheus
While it's no substitute for the real thing, this does look good. I see an LCVG pinball challenge coming. :tu:

Derrik Draven
Count me in as well. Can't tell you how many hours I wasted playing "Pinball Dreams II", way back in the day on my Amiga. Excellent game! Actually, that was one of THE only games my exwife (then wife) would play along with me. Her and I would usually just play full contact Monopoly. rustyjaw
Yes! Very much looking forward to this one. Thanks for the update Joey.
General Zot
I'd pick it up, but the screens look so real I would trash my TV bumping it wiht my hip Thanks for this heads up, looks like a nice little title.
Failsafe
I mistook the first thumbnail image as an actual photograph before I had a closer look. Looks like it'll be a great game!
JoeyN
IGN give Pure Pinball a 6.7. There complaints are only 4 tables, you cant make the ball launcher go slow or fast, and the high score isnt displayed on the table while playing. Ill wait for this one to drop into the discount bins before picking it up capt
Jordan_E
Damn! How hard is it to make a decent pinball game, especially for the XBox? And why can't they license some of those cool machines, like the Creature from the Black Lagoon or Addam's Family (yeah, money)? Oh well, like Capt wrote, I'll wait for the price to drop on this one.
Failsafe
Oh well, like Capt wrote, I'll wait for the price to drop on this one. Yep. No reason to run out and buy it until it has dropped in price. Too bad.
dogbert
I think that's a terrible review that comes down to the game not being what the reviewer wanted regardless of the quality of what was presented in the game. How does it compare to other pinball games? What's the quality of the tables offered like? He glosses over things like that, instead deciding to mark it down because of things like the menus are too plain.

I consider that review glowing because it praises the physics, which is by far the single most important aspect of a pinball game. I've bought too many pinball games that had a nice selection of tables, but had crappy physics that made the game completely worthless **cough**Sierra**cough** - heck, when I finaly found a pinball game with good physics I was ecstatic even though it had only one table (the Pro Pinball series). Because good physics means complex nuances in the tables, which means you have something to sink your teeth into and learn. This reviewer has his priorities backward IMO. Physics are the number on priority in pinball. Well-designed tables that utilize the physics are number two. Graphics are third. The rest is superfluous as long as it's functional. I won't hesitate to buy this game the day it's released.
rustyjaw
Here's a second opinion from TeamXbox???a more reasonable review.
dogbert
(the Pro Pinball series). Funny you should mention that, "Pro Pinball Trilogy" is one of my most played Dreamcast games. Three unlicenced tables, but superb physics, solid table design & just downright fun. Still play it regularly.
rustyjaw
I also still play them on my Mac, BigRace USA is a classic video pinball game.

The Best Buys in Wisconsin at least have been horrible about stocking new titles that are not major releases. I'm sure I'll be going to EB for this, they'll probably be the only store neart me who stocks it.
Jordan_E
Well, since I need to buy something (unable to get my sorry comp up to specs for Doom3) I'm going to pick up Pure Pinball tonight and will offer a hands on, unless I stumble across something better at the same time.
