Josh
Eww. Sorry, but this kinda makes me ill just thinking about it. I mean, the donuts themselves are pretty good if not completely evil, but a drinkable version? I think not.
secretvampire
Hahahah...my friends and I have joked about this for a long time, I just sent them this article before I came here. Man, I love Krispy Kreme but I haven't been there in forever...I'm sure my heart is thanking me for that fact though.
merlot
12 oz = 440 calories 16 oz = 590 20 oz = 740
Zathras
I wonder how long it will be before I can go in and just order a glass of glaze. We're one step closer... Maybe that will be the winter promotion.
JTello
I saw this story this morning and it made me intantly gag. The thought of drinking a donut makes me ill. Although I would suspect this is a poor business decision, I'm sure they'll sell millions of them and prove me wrong. It's a good thing that stomach by-pass surgeries are being covered by more and more insurance companies, now we can all drink donuts!!! I'm gonna go get sick now,... A 16 0z Original Kreme shake even beats out the McGriddle in calories. Here's the numbers for a sausage, egg and cheese McGriddle and the percent of daily allowance in parentheses from their website: CALORIES: 550 (-) FAT: 33 G. (51%) SATURATED FAT: 11 G. (55%) CHOLESTEROL: 260 MG. (86%) SODIUM: 1290 MG. (54%) CARBOHYDRATES: 43 G. (14%) DIETARY FIBER: 1 G. (5%) PROTEIN: 20 G (-) I assume that the shake doesn't have the McGriddle's punch of saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium, though. -j
Kain rising
While the drinkable donuts don't sound too appealing, I have to admit I love a McGriddle.
secretvampire
Mmmmmmmm....now I have a cool refreshing drink to go WITH my McGriddle! J/K I am a pretty healthy eater. Did anybody ever see that Swanson's frozen breakfast meal that had like 2 days worth of fat, chloestorol, sodium, etc. in the single meal? I like how the box proclaimed "over 1 pound of food!" or something like that.

Josh
Those Starbucks frozen coffee drinks as well as Dunkin Donuts ones also sport around 500-700 calories each, btw.

adamsappel
Ya know, it's not like it really has a donut in there. It's just another Frappacino imitation. And I bet it tastes f-ing awesome! Thank God I don't have a shop near me.
PoisonJam
Ya know, it's not like it really has a donut in there. It's just another Frappacino imitation. Exactly. It's a frozen drink that tastes like their original donut. What's the big deal? If Dunkin Donuts came out with a frozen drink that tasted like their glazed chocolate donuts, I'd try it! If Dunkin Donuts came out with a frozen drink that tasted like their glazed chocolate donuts, I'd try it! No, see... I have a problem with the notion of simulacra in the food industry. If I want a donut, I'll eat a freakin' donut. If I want an iced latte, I'll drink a freakin' iced latte, not some obscene freakshow of sugar and fat creme. Orpheus
mmm...mcgriddles.. damn i'm hungry now we're finally getting a krispy kreme here, about a mile from lambeau field, bet those glazed flavored drinks would go really well with brats
PoisonJam
No, see... I have a problem with the notion of simulacra in the food industry. Well that's your right, of course, but it would be a sad world without orange or grape soda, root beer-flavored hard candies, green apple jolly ranchers, and coffee ice cream. Hey Zathras ... is 30 creaping up on you yet ... How's Jana holding up, mere days from the cliff?
Zathras
Eh? Whats that Kujeaux? I didn't have my ear horn in position because I was viewing the new stereo-opticons from the Worlds Fair... (woo woo that Little Egypt sure is a looker showing her calves and all.... now eh where was I). Oh yeah donuts.... let me turn down the new Kay Kayser album while i'm at it. Well back in my day we didn't have all this high tech modernizing liquid-donutifcation. We had water with sugar in it. Half the time it didn't have sugar. or water for that matter. and the glass was chipped!
