merlot
Depends on your OS. The two places to look, are the Startup folder in the Start menu (easy) and the registry. If you are not familar with the registry, it's advised to not dig around in there. With that said, the registry location is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun
Robot Monkey
I am talk about removing programs from the task bar, near the clock..... What version of Windows do you have, Nick? I ask because if the applets in your taskbar are benign, you can hide them in XP. -j
Graeme
It's slightly different depending on the version of windows, but in XP you can type msconfig in the run dialog, the startup tab in that will list all applications launched at startup which you can disable and enable.
