JTello
The story is just breaking so there are very little details, but CNN.com has this headline,... Florida sheriff: At least 3 suspects confess to killing 6 with baseball bats in dispute over Xbox video game console. Details soon The story hasn't been put on the web site yet. Yikes! :wtf:

Whooter
Talk about your misleading headlines... the killings didn't have anything to do with the Xbox, specifically.
Chatakinns
While tragic, if true, the man who convinced the others, AS WELL as the others, have to have some kind of short circuit in their thought process. But, then again, we are talking about a society/culture that will kill you for the clothes you are wearing if they decide they either, 1) want them, or 2) don't agree with your style choices. JoeyN
Fox news said the crime was because of some stolen cloths and a stolen xbox. capt

Guest Bryan
The media has picked the lowest common denominator in the story to jack up the shock factor. The Xbox had no more to do with it than Tommy Hilfiger, Levi Strauss and Fruit of the Loom. The story itself is gruesome enough. No living being deserves that kind of treatment. JTello
-The brutality of this crime has really gotten to me. You hear about such things happening all the time, but for some reason this story really disturbs me. The idea that four people can get together and consciously make the decision to do such a brutal thing for any reason, and then to carry it out, is unfathomable. -And my thoughts on the inclusion of the ?Xbox game? in the story, ?although I feel they could have easily just reported it as a ?video game,? overall I feel that the reporting was appropriate. The idea that these people would do such a thing for any reason is amazing, but the disbelief is only enhanced by the singling out of such an insignificant piece of motivation. The game, the clothes ,? what?s the point!
General Zot
This just makes you realize how everyone is not just like you (or me.) I can't really wrap my head around what any of these 4 attackers were thinking. If this were rival or gangs or a long standing family feud I could at least have a clue as to how it could come to this, but over a video game console and some clothes? I think I'm paranoid to keep a loaded 12 gauge in our bedroom closet after taking 5 years of Aikido, then I read something like this. I'll just leave that shotgun where it is, thanks. Crazy people out there, that's for sure...
spider01
a guy from my subaru forum was actually car jacked by the " head guy" a few days before these six killings. luckily for him the dude couldnt figure out how to put the car in reverse, so he didnt get very far. i will try to find the thread from that site and post it here. JTello
Thanks for sharing that story Spider. It's unbelievable how evil and calleous some peole can be. I can't comprehend how these people can do such things. It's a good thig that the guy from your forum is ok, as it doesn't seem too to much of a stretch suspect this maniac wouldn't have hurt him if he hadn't just given up his car.
