CaptainRon
My friend who is a huge D&D fan has been tryign to sell me on this game for a while. I haven't really gotten behind the D&D rpg thing, but he's saying this is strictly action. I really liked the LOTR 2 towers and this is supposed to have a similar feel. Anybody else heard about this or into it?

JohnEBGood
i really liked TT, so if this is anything like that was then count me in...are there any trailers yet?
Mike-D
Yes, there is a trailer which imo looks totally awesome. Unfortunately I can't find it right now and I really shouldn't spend the time to look for it all over the net since I'm at work But you should definitely try to find it. Can't find a link in this forum. I found the trailer when they announced the XBox version. There is a trailer here but I don't know if that's the trailer I saw. I'm definitely looking forward to this game. I love hack'n'slay RPGs when played coop.
CaptainRon
Pretty sweet trailer. That song is intense, feel like I know it from somewhere, any takers? Anyway if you find hte other trailer you think you saw, drop on here, i'd love to check it out.
GreenMonkey
I've been keeping an eye on this. I love Co-op fantasy hack/slash titles. Co-op is still in, right? I heard there was some waffling back and forth on including it. D&D Tower of Doom is the shizzit Storyline is written by R.A. Salvatore of Dark Elf fame. Speaking of, I just made an new signature with Drizzt in it. New book coming out and all.
JohnEBGood
i dont think there is Co-op mode...i was a little surprised at first, but its not enough to deter me from playing...i'll still have a good time with it.
CaptainRon
I just saw this gameplay footage, looks pretty sweet, but i'm not sure if its for hte box or the ps2. http://xboxmovies.teamxbox.com/xbox/1098/F...e-Gemspark-Mine
Mike-D
At xboxyde there's footage of levels 1 and 2 (PS2 version). Looks sweet so far. I like it that stuff happens in places you're not present. Big battles in the background etc. But no coop would almost certainly mean no sale for me since I don't have enough time to finish all the games I wanna buy over the next couple of moths as it is. But I'm always looking for new coop stuff since I like it a lot to sit there with a friends, playing a game and downing a couple beers Is this definitive? GreenMonkey
With no co-op, the game will have to rock as much as Devil May Cry for me to purchase it. I'll keep an eye out for the reviews.
CaptainRon
From the videos i'm pretty into it. I like the strategy side of switching between players too. btw, green monkey, is that a dragonlance avatar?
GreenMonkey
Yup. Good ol' evil Raistlin. I like tragic characters.
CaptainRon
I've only read dragon lance chronicles, so dont' ruin it for me and tell me his tragic flaws I wonder if they'd ever make a dragon lance video game..... getting back to the topic though..... Demon Stone in just two days. I saw an ad on spike tv last night and i really can't wait to get my hands on this one.

Romier S
Looking forward to hearing more on the story John. With Salvatore handling that I'm sure to pick this one up. I'm waiting on the Xbox version of the game however.
Big Daddy Bling Bling
I'm debating purchasing the Xbox version when it comes out, but it just doesn't look as chaotic as Return of the King from what I've seen. Of course, the lack of LOTR characters and music makes it a bit less attractive as well. The deciding factor for me will be level/scenario design, so I'm interested to hear more about that. I'm pretty sure i'm not making it up. anyway, i'm picking this game up tonight, so i'll let you guys know what i think

(via his forum) he said that he has contract with Wizards for 2 more books (last book in current trilogy comes out this month). He said he will probably do a book on Jarlaxle or Artemis Entreri next. CaptainRon
aaaahhhhh, took me forever to find this, but... "Todd Hartwig: Well, I've already mentioned Drizzt, and Thibbledorf Pwent makes an appearance as well. There are other Forgotten Realms icons, such as Khelben Blackstaff. I believe that Bob is going to include Rannek somewhere in an upcoming novel so look for it." http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/demon-stone/545636p2.html you might be right though, i'd guess RA would know what he's going to be writing.
